The role of a Senior Product Manager at FusionCharts is about being a product entrepreneur at heart. You will set clear goals and envision and execute on all things product to drive and build highly impactful tools in the Data Visualisation space. Your performance will be measured by the growth of existing and new products, and your ability to work closely with and enhance the productivity of a high-performing cross-functional team that includes counterparts in Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing and Operations. You will have the opportunity to significantly impact the Data viz / Business Intelligence space and therein lies the challenges and the opportunity What you’ll do.. * Internalize and deeply understand Fusioncharts’ mission and strategies, as well as the mission and objectives of your specific team * Distill vision and strategy for the team, get all members of cross-functional team on the same page aiming for the absolute best * Collect whatever data is necessary to inform product direction, whether in the form of competitive intel, user behavior or other business metrics * Solicit and embrace critical feedback * Drive cross-functional teams to set qualitative objectives and quantitative goals * Drive innovation, definition, deliverables planning (road-map) and design of entirely new products and product features to deliver against team and company goals * Requires challenging all members of cross-functional teams (engineering, design, etc.) to think boldly and creatively and then to funnel that energy into concrete products and execution plans * Drive definition of and execution against product go-to-market plan, including phasing and marketing * Monitor and measure launched products and feed learnings back into product development process * Clearly communicate product plans, benefits and results, as appropriate, to a spectrum of audiences, from internal stakeholders to all employees to guests to partners What we’re looking for? * 3+ years experience delivering highly successful and innovative tech products with your fingerprints all over them * Startup experience and entrepreneurial spirit * Data-driven and an ability to get scrappy when figuring out the answers to your questions * Willingness to talk to customers and examples of doing it previously * Either Founder / co-founder of a tech focussed company with a limitless amount of hustle. Background in engineering is a must for this role * Or an early engineer turned Product Manager with a track record of shipping world class products * Impeccable communication and people management skills. Someone who can lead, build and inspire a team Bonus points : * Prior entrepreneurial experience with an engineering background is a huge plus * Brag worthy contributions to open source community * Understanding of data visualisation and information architecture
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a manager and overall 10+ years of industry experience in a variety of contexts, during which you've built scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant systems. You have a solid knowledge of the whole web stack: front-end, back-end, databases, cache layer, HTTP protocol, TCP/IP, Linux, CPU architecture, etc. You are comfortable jamming on complex architecture and design principles with senior engineers.
