Role Summary:

We are looking for a technically adept Principal Software Engineer who specializes in Node.js, and MySQL and any experience in Angular/react is good to have. The candidate will be instrumental in developing high-performance web applications and leading the technical direction of our software development team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop robust, scalable web applications using Angular / React, Node.js, and MySQL.
• Lead backend development efforts, ensuring efficient database design, optimal server-side scripting with Node.js, and API integration.
• Spearhead front-end development with Angular, focusing on responsive design and user experience optimization.
• Implement advanced MySQL database management and optimization techniques.
• Establish and enforce code quality and software engineering best practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD processes.
• Analyze system requirements and delegate tasks to team members, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and timelines.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement strategic solutions.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating and adopting new technologies as appropriate.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on defining technical roadmaps, aligning software development strategies with business goals.
• Lead technical discussions and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in software development with a focus on Node. js, along with MySQL / PostgreSQL, and any experience working with front-end technologies like Angular / React, and MongoDB for databases is good to have.
• Expertise in developing high-load, scalable, and distributed web applications.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in database design, optimization, and management in MySQL.
• Strong grasp of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX.
• Experience with modern development tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.

The Role Expectation

You must have the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, where success is dependent on your ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners in a positive, productive, and transparent way.

Responsibilities

• Understand CW'S strategic position to deliver features
• Drive product development to build end to end solutions with a team of engineers and designers.
• Serve as a product owner and work with the Product managers to write user stories, prioritize the product backlog, and work closely with engineers to deliver a good product
• Work with UX to analyze current user experiences to define friction points and create seamless and effortless experiences
• Develop a product roadmap and work with cross-functional teams (business, operations, development, UX, analytics) to execute on the roadmap
• Track the task and utilization of the engineers on the team
• Work with the Architect to ensure that a high performance and highly scalable system is engineered
• Apply analytics to evaluate launch outcomes and ongoing platform performance to help build best in class experiences.
• Ensure that best practices and standards are inculcated and ownership is properly delegated within the team
• Bring in the best Agile practices and ensure code quality and code coverage

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably CS or related discipline
• 5+ of experience in SaaS based product development for the web as well as mobile devices with experience on applications using Python, React and NoSQL, SQL, Search technologies, etc.
• 3+ of technical project management driving end to end implementation from defining user stories to testing and deployment of features
• Strong ability to translate product needs to technology and understand technology.
• Detail-oriented, unfazed by technical detail, committed to flawless execution
• Ability to think out of the box to solve problems
• Ability to participate in technical discussions and help make technical trade-offs
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; clarity of thought; Team player; ability to interface and build relations at all levels
