Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Accountant based in India to manage accounting operations and statutory compliance for businesses operating in India and the UK. This role starts as part-time with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounting software, and ensuring compliance with government filings and regulations in both jurisdictions. The role involves managing accounts for multiple business activities, including software operations, investments, and real estate projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain company accounts, ledgers, and financial records.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
• Perform bookkeeping, invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations.
• Manage accounting for multiple group companies using Sage Accounting Plus (Tally knowledge preferred).
• Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and investment tracking.
• Monitor cash flow and financial performance.

India Compliance:

• GST filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual GST returns)
• Income Tax and TDS returns
• Payroll compliance (EPF, ESIC) and Professional Tax
• MCA filings (AOC-4, MGT-7, DIR-3 KYC)

UK Compliance:

• VAT returns and Corporation Tax filings
• PAYE payroll and RTI submissions
• Self-Assessment tax returns
• Companies House filings (Confirmation Statement, director/shareholding updates)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of Indian tax system (GST, payroll, TDS) and UK tax/compliance (VAT, Corporation Tax)
• Experience with Sage Accounting Plus; Tally preferred
• Ability to manage multiple companies and financial records
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and meet statutory deadlines
