About the role
We run a few companies in India and want to bring all our accounting in-house under one person, based in our Mysore office. You’ll handle the books and compliance for every India company.
What you’ll handle
Books
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and month-end closure for multiple companies
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management reports and consolidated financial summaries
- Manage inter-company accounting and multi-company financial operations
- Ensure proper maintenance of accounts in Zoho Books and related systems
Compliance
- GST: monthly and annual returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9) and input credit reconciliation
- TDS/TCS: deductions, challans, quarterly returns, and 26AS reconciliation
- Income tax: advance tax workings and corporate return preparation
- ROC/MCA filings: AOC-4, MGT-7, director KYC, and statutory registers
- Payroll-linked compliance: PF, ESI, and professional tax
- FEMA and RBI compliance on inbound remittances, including FIRC tracking and the annual FLA return
Audit
- Prepare audit-ready financial records and documentation
- Coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits
- Maintain clean, organized, and review-ready books at all times
- Improve financial controls and accounting processes where required
What we’re looking for
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Open on experience: recently qualified or several years in, what matters is that you can own the work
- Strong on Indian compliance: GST, TDS, income tax, ROC/MCA, and Companies Act requirements
- Able to run the function end to end without leaning on an outside firm for routine work
- Hands-on with accounting software (Zoho Books, Tally Prime, or similar) and confident in Excel
- Organized , accurate, and self-directed across multiple companies
- Based in or willing to relocate to Mysore (this is an in-office role)
