Mandatory Requirements

● 5+ years of backend development experience with Drupal 10/11

. ● Strong expertise in headless/decoupled Drupal architectures.

● Proficiency in creating and exposing APIs using GraphQL, REST, and JSON:API.

● Hands-on experience with content types, view modes, fields, paragraphs, and taxonomies.

● Strong understanding of custom module development, Drupal hooks, and services.

● Experience integrating and querying Elasticsearch/Solr Search in Drupal applications.  Proficiency with Drush, Composer, Acquia Cloud, Git, Ddev, and CI/CD tools.

● Solid knowledge of security best practices in Drupal and API development.

● Experience with API versioning, rate-limiting, and token-based authentication (OAuth2/JWT).

● Knowledge of performance optimization (Varnish, Redis, CDN integration).

● Experience with automated testing in Drupal (PHPUnit/Behat).

● Prior experience collaborating with Next.js frontend teams.

● Exposure to Content Staging, Multi-site architectures, or content governance workflows.  Roles & Responsibilities  Develop and maintain headless Drupal 9/10 backends for frontend integration.

● Expose content via GraphQL, REST, and JSON:API for frontend consumption.

● Design and manage content types, fields, paragraphs, taxonomies, and view modes.

● Develop custom modules and extend Drupal core functionalities.

● Configure and optimize Elasticsearch/Solr search for scalable search solutions.

● Collaborate with frontend developers to enable component-driven development.

● Implement SEO-friendly, accessible, and multilingual configurations.

● Apply performance tuning, API caching, and backend security best practices.

● Actively participate in sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.

● Conduct peer code reviews and ensure adherence to documentation and coding standards.
