We’re looking for a gifted writer and storyteller who can help position Optmyzr as a thought leader and product of choice in the PPC advertising space. This role will be responsible for developing the assets behind our content and marketing campaigns.
You’ll work closely with our sales, product and support teams - as well as leadership and subject matter experts - to turn briefs into high-quality written and video content, notifications, ad copy and more.
This role is part of a growing editorial team that will be responsible for:
- Interviewing internal and external topical experts to craft blog posts, research reports, white papers
- Repurpose deep dive, long-form written and video content into snackable social media content
- Support other marketing initiatives by preparing case studies, emails and other bottom-of-funnel content
- Pitching new ideas based on your observations of the market and conversations with our ideal customers
Here’s what our ideal candidate looks like:
- 1+ years of experience working in a SaaS content team or an editorial/media/journalism team
- Fluent written and spoken English, ideally with some experience writing for North American or European audiences
- A sharp journalistic mind capable of crafting angles and hooks that interest readers
- Strong portfolio of published marketing collateral (no spec pieces)
- A degree in English, communications or another related field is a bonus but not necessary
- Strong time management, collaboration and communication skills
- Respect for deadlines and commitments that have been made
- Comfortable building relationships with internal/external subject matter experts as sources
- Some understanding of how to balance optimizing content for search engines vs. readers
- Some experience using generative AI to support, not write content
The ability to create compelling narratives that link pain points to business outcomes will give you an advantage, as does any familiarity with paid search and social advertising.
