Position: Lead Software Engineer (Java)

Experience: 8+ Years (including 1–2 Years as Team Lead)

Role Overview

The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for driving the architecture, design, and development of high-performance applications. This role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring delivery of scalable, secure, and business-driven solutions. The candidate must bring strong Java development experience, hands-on exposure to modern frameworks, and proven leadership in product-based environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.

• Take ownership of system architecture and design decisions, ensuring scalability and robustness.

• Drive end-to-end software development: requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.

• Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams—QA, DevOps, Product, and Project Management.

• Troubleshoot and resolve development and production issues with minimal turnaround time.

• Manage project priorities, timelines, and ensure high-quality, timely deliverables.

• Evaluate and adopt emerging tools, frameworks, and practices to improve efficiency and system quality.

Required Technical Skills

• Java (8+) – Strong proficiency with Core Java and advanced features.

• Spring Framework – Expertise in Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot.

• Microservices – Practical experience in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.

• Hibernate / JPA – Strong ORM and database interaction skills.

• OOP & Design Patterns – Solid understanding and application in enterprise-grade projects.

• Build & Versioning Tools – Proficiency with Maven/Gradle, Git, JIRA.

• Testing Frameworks – Hands-on experience with JUnit, Mockito.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, or containerized environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Proven track record of 1–2 years in a team lead or senior developer role.

• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to manage priorities independently with minimal supervision.

• Prior experience in a product-based organization is mandatory; exposure to IoT or Telematics products will be an added advantage.

• Work on large-scale, custom distributed software systems using Java, Scala,
• MongoDB, JavaScript (AngularJS, ReactJS), and the likes

• 6 + years of Hands-on development and delivery experience with Java, Scala, and the likes
• Passion for software engineering and craftsman-like coding prowess
• Great OO skills, including strong design patterns knowledge
• Experience working with Agile, TDD, Lean, and/or Continuous Delivery approaches and best practices, such as Extreme Programming (XP)
• Enthusiastic to work collaboratively with people and sharing your ideas to solve real business problems

Mandatory Skills

-Must have experience and Good understanding about pointers & memory in C/C++

-Must have experience in Unix/Linux IPC (semaphore, shared memory, socket, multi thread)

-Must have Debug skills : gdb, coredump analysis, network packet analysis

-Must have experience in Source code syntax parser (Preferably lex, yacc, bison, etc.)

-Must have worked on build tools : Makefiles, make, etc.

-Database : Preferably Oracle Good at SQL and stored procedures

Optional Skills

-Telegram development using C/C++

-Finance/Industry domain knowledge

-Japanese speaking skills

• Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and report RCA, propose solutions(how to fix)
• Debug identified problems and provide fixes swiftly
• Ability to write clear and concise documentation
• To understand and maintain legacy codebase
• Individual contributor, but also works closely with junior developers
• Review source code developed by peers

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior Executive - Accounts & Finance responsible for-

The Role

+ Improvise and maintenance of accounts.

+ Owning and preparing matters related to working and compliance - Income Tax, GST and other Fund related matters

+ Supporting seniors in tax planning opportunities, new tax laws and structuring.

+ Maintaining of unitholder, investment register and undertaking routine Fund industry related calculations.

+ Update Tally on a regular basis.

+ Coordination and support in Finalization, Auditing, Valuation, etc of Fund, Fund Manager, as applicable.

+ MIS management in a timely manner for financial and business performance.

+Coordination and support team with auditors for half yearly audits, tax regulators, valuers, accounting regulators and regulatory bodies. Provide information to auditors, trustee, shareholders, bankers and other stakeholders on a timely basis.

+ Perform tests to check financial information and systems.

+ Work closely to improvise functioning of department and/or entities.

+ Ownership of documents in terms of maintaining files– physical and digital

+ Any additional, yet to be determined, responsibility shall be assigned.

Requirements: Attributes, Experience

+ CA inter cleared - with 4 to 6 Yrs experience.

+ Understanding of operational and strategic aspects of Tax, Compliance, Governance Framework and Accounting software preferably in a multi entity scenario.   

+ Functional Area:Primarily Accounts, Finance, Income Tax, GST, Compliance. Computations, etc.

+ Detail-oriented, proactive and self-motivated.

+ Team player with ability to work effectively in small groups.

+ Seeking a long and stable stint. This should ideally be their last stop as VC is a long reward industry.
