1. About the Role

We are looking for a Channel Sales Executive to drive business growth through channel partners, resellers, consultants, agencies, referral partners, and direct sales opportunities in the Indian market.

The role will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new partners, developing partner relationships, generating qualified sales opportunities, supporting partners throughout the sales cycle, and contributing to revenue growth.

The ideal candidate should be confident in B2B technology sales, comfortable working with sales targets, and capable of building strong relationships with partners and customers.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Partner Acquisition & Channel Development

• Identify and approach potential channel partners, resellers, consultants, agencies, and referral partners.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective partners across India.
• Evaluate potential partners based on market reach, customer base, sales capability, and business alignment.
• Conduct partner outreach, presentations, negotiations, and onboarding.
• Maintain regular communication and engagement with existing partners.
• Support the development of a structured partner onboarding and activation process.

B. Partner Sales & Revenue Generation

• Generate sales opportunities through channel partners.
• Work with partners to identify prospects and convert qualified leads into customers.
• Support partners in customer meetings, product demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and deal closures.
• Follow up consistently on partner-generated opportunities.
• Track partner-wise sales performance, pipeline, and revenue contribution.
• Work toward achieving assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets.

C. India Direct Sales

• Handle direct sales opportunities from the Indian market when required.
• Manage inbound and outbound leads through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other sales channels.
• Conduct discovery calls and understand customer requirements.
• Deliver product presentations and demonstrations.
• Handle pricing discussions, objections, negotiations, and follow-ups.
• Build relationships with SMB, mid-market, and growth-stage companies.

D. Partner Enablement & Support

• Train and guide partners on product positioning, pricing, use cases, target customers, and sales pitches.
• Provide partners with relevant sales materials, demo resources, and product information.
• Help partners identify suitable customer opportunities.
• Conduct regular partner follow-ups and performance review meetings.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve partner and customer queries efficiently.

E. Sales Pipeline & CRM Management

• Maintain accurate records of partners, leads, opportunities, activities, and deal stages.
• Update CRM regularly with partner information, sales activities, follow-ups, and forecasts.
• Track lead-to-opportunity and opportunity-to-customer conversion.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline information.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports covering partner acquisition, active partners, pipeline, closures, and revenue.
• Identify gaps in the sales pipeline and take corrective action.

F. Market Development

• Identify potential industries, regions, customer segments, and partner opportunities within India.
• Monitor customer requirements, competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
• Participate in industry events, webinars, partner meetings, and networking activities.
• Generate ideas and initiatives to increase channel-led sales and market penetration.
• Share relevant market insights with the sales and management teams.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The performance of the Channel Sales Executive will be evaluated based on:

• Number of new partners identified and onboarded.
• Number of active and revenue-generating partners.
• Monthly/quarterly sales revenue.

4. Candidate Profile

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Management, or a related field preferred.

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience in channel sales, partner sales, B2B sales, SaaS sales, software sales, cloud technology, or related technology sales.
• Experience working with resellers, consultants, agencies, referral partners, distributors, or other channel partners will be preferred.
• Experience in the Indian B2B market is highly desirable.
