Responsibilities

●      Own and champion the development process of our web-based applications, including: SDLC, coding standards, code reviews, check-ins and builds, issue tracking, bug triages, incident management. and testing.

●      Build and maintain a high-performing software development team including hiring, training, and onboarding.

●      Identify opportunities to eliminate non-value add activities to enable our developers to do what they love best—developing! No pointless meetings, no unnecessary interruptions, no random changes of course, no new problems from on high dumped in their lap each month.

●      Identify growth opportunities for team members to continue to learn and develop in a supportive environment.

Requirements

●      12+ years of software development experience, 2+ years of development leadership experience.

●      Demonstrated technical leadership and people management skills.

●      Experience with agile development processes.

●      Hands-on experience in driving/leading technical efforts in cloud-based applications.

●      Proven track record of driving quality within a team, with a commitment to automated testing.

●      Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively influence product at different levels of abstraction and communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.

●      Excellent coding skills to provide guidance and craftsmanship for our engineers

●      Technical acumen to provide solid judgment in situations so you can provide the optimal short term decisions without sacrificing long term technology goals

●      Demonstrated critical analysis skills to provide continuous improvement of technology, process, and productivity

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior/Architect ServiceNow Developer to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of ServiceNow development projects, leading the technical implementation of solutions. You will customize ServiceNow applications to meet specific client requirements, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience. 

Responsibilities:

• Independent, technically demanding (further) development of ServiceNow-solutions: Take ownership of ServiceNow development projects, leading the technical implementation of solutions.
• Configuration and customization of ServiceNow applications: Customize ServiceNow applications to meet specific client requirements, ensuring optimal functionality and user experience.
• Development of components for system integration: Create and implement integrations like SSO, LDAP, REST API, SOAP, etc., to ensure seamless data flow.
• Collaborate with business consultants: Work closely with business consultants to understand client needs and translate them into technical solutions, with a focus on ServiceNow (modules ITSM, ITOM, CSM, FSM, IRM, SecOps, Custom plus industry products).
• Configuration of ServiceNow components: Configure Workflows, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Client/Server Scripts to optimize ServiceNow functionality.
• Configuration of Service Portal: Customize and configure Service Portals to provide intuitive user interfaces.
• Create reports, dashboards, and NOW-Performance Analytics widgets.
• Technical documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation for developed solutions and configurations.
• Support Competence Center development: Actively support the establishment and growth of the Competence Center in the company.
• Knowledge transfer: Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to ServiceNow developers, ensuring the team's continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• Several years of experience in the development environment with a focus on ServiceNow.
• Very good knowledge of solution and interface concepts, as well as industry standards such as Ajax, CSS, REST API, Angular, Web Services, SOAP, and XML.
• Excellent programming/scripting skills, ideally in JavaScript.
• Experience in +2 of ServiceNow applications "Customer Service Management", "Field Service Management", "Security Operations", "Integrated Risk Management / Governance, Risk and Compliance", "Financial Services Operations" and/or "IT Service Management", plus custom apps.
• ServiceNow certifications: "ServiceNow Certified System Administrator" (NOW-CSA) and “ServiceNow Certified Application Developer” (NOW-CAD).
• Strong communication skills with very good English language skills (German skills are a plus).
• A degree in computer science or comparable training is required.

• Review Software applications for potential security vulnerabilities by conducting application security reviews i.e., Requirements review, Design review, Code Review.
• Clear Understanding and Hands on experience on OWASP Top 10 Vulnerability standards like XSS, SQL injection, session hijacking, and authorization bypass vulnerabilities.
