FirstHive is seeking a Sr. System Administrator at our Bangalore Office. As part of this role, candidate will be responsible to further develop the IT infrastructure and server environment. She/ He will be in charge for installing, supporting and maintaining servers or computer systems, and planning for and responding to service outages and other IT related issues.Key Responsibilities :- Azure cloud Admin- Server Admin with knowledge of Hadoop, Mysql, php web server and tomcat - Must setup and maintained open source email server.- Perform daily System admin within the company- Capable of giving Hardware support for printers, monitors, Desktop PCs,Laptops- Problem solving management (analysis for frequently occurred incident - solveroot cause)- Testing new software, Windows patches, configuring applications,- Design network structure (including configuring hardware devices)- Maintain user profile and Active DirectoryProfile Requirements :- Graduate of either B. Sc. In Engineering, Communications or B. Sc. In Computer Science.- At least 4-5 years of experience in a similar position in an IT firm.- Should have good knowledge on LAMP stack.- Should have worked on Apache/Tomcat/NGINX server configuration.- Good knowledge on Windows environment and Linux servers.- Will be able to negotiate with the vendors for the best infrastructure.- Should have strong background on managing Data Center infrastructure and working experience in Production support environment.- Should have strong background on managing cloud infrastructure in AWS- Extremely deep understanding on DC Infrastructure including servers, routers, Firewalls, Switches, etc.- Good understanding and implementation and configuration of Email servers, Database servers, Application servers, VPN.- Good Understanding about virtualization using VMware, virtual box- Good Understanding about Linux OS, commands, system management- Continuous Monitor System Health and proactively report resource utilization, critical alerts with internal stake holders.- Hands on experience with installation / upgradation / patching of OS mostly on Linux flavors, Database servers like MySQL, Application servers like Apache, Tomcat, Jboss, Hadoop, Spark etc.- Experience with configuration of load balancer and firewall policies.- Configuring and troubleshooting network related issues.- Experience with Implementation of Infrastructure monitoring tools.- Suggest innovation and improvements on hardening the infrastructure security and processes.- Completely responsible for performance and uptime of the servers.- Understanding and experience in implementation of ISO 27001 and PCI-DSS policies would be added advantage.- Experience on Database and Application server tweaking would be added advantage.- Experience in working with Change Management system and Release deployments would be added advantage.
The AWS Cloud Solution Architect is responsible for the engineering of business and technical solutions leveraging AWS. Delivery responsibilities in the areas of cloud network administration, security administration, instantiation, provisioning, optimizing the environment, third party software support. Supporting the Dev team with migration from On-premise to Cloud. Implementing security best practices, and analyzing the partner compatibility. Automation of manual tasks using Ansible, Python following the standard DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities: Manage and support 24x7 AWS environments. Automate the manual pre-provisioning, deployment and post-provisioning tasks by using Ansible, Python, Shell scripts and adhere to the standard DevOps practices (CI/CD). Devise and implement security, operations best practices. Implementing development, production environment for cloud environment. Backup, Archive and Recovery planning and execution of the cloud. Throughput monitoring, load balancing, improving the overall system health by optimizing the key AWS resources. System and IT Operations. Real-time troubleshooting and problem resolution. Patching and system updates. Desirable Skills: Hands-on experience with AWS and strong understanding of AWS capabilities and limitations. Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service. Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape. Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security etc) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution. Should have good knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, Glacier, ELB, RDS, SQS, SWF, EBS, Auto Scaling etc. Working experience with setting up an environment using Cloud Formation templates (CFT’s) will be added advantage. Should have experience in using AWS APIs and building automation scripts invoking the APIs. Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS along with Private, Public and Hybrid Cloud technologies. Knowledge of monitoring, logging and cost management tools that integrate with AWS. Hands-on experience with database architecture and modeling, RDMS and No-SQL. Should have a good understanding of data archive/restore policies. Skills & Attributes: Working experience on AWS services. Working experience in writing Shell Scripts. Working experience in Linux and Windows administration. Working experience on any of the RDBMS and NoSql. Good presentation, communication skills. Good team player. Qualifications: 4 Year Engineering Degree. Minimum 5 years of IT experience. Minimum 3 years of AWS hands-on experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills in the English language Desirable Certifications: Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate Must be willing to provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotational basis with the team.
Roles & Responsibilities Participate in 12×7 shifts working with a global team in follow the sun model. ( No Graveyard or Night Shift) Provide remote infrastructure support for our SaaS, PaaS, IaaS products across globally distributed data centres Automate OS and application deployments using tools such as WDS, Cobbler and Puppet Conduct regular patch management and system maintenance to ensure the health of platforms/servers Set up health checks for systems & applications in monitoring tools like Zabbix, Nagios, SolarWinds etc Troubleshoot and fix issues meeting SLA’s and operational standards Manage incidents and escalations as per policies/procedures to meet incident management and uptime SLAs Liaise with engineering teams for RCA’s, permanent resolutions on issues using tickets and chat conference rooms Identify repetitive tasks and automate using Bash / Ruby / Perl Contribute to operations handbook Investigate and assess alerts for hardware and schedule replacement or tests Initiate emergency maintenance as needed for failed/failing hardware (drives, RAID controllers, power supplies, etc) Provide guidance to L1 monitoring regarding hardware status/health, complicated server health analysis Ensure smooth hand-offs between shifts
