About the role:
A Thumbnail Designer will play a critical role in designing eye-catching and engaging thumbnails that increase click-through rates and attract viewers to our content. Your designs will help shape the visual identity of our videos across multiple platforms, including YouTube.
What will your day-to-day work look like
- To create thumbnails for 4 channels i.e. 3 for Newton and 1. The total number of Thumbnails will be 12-14 per week
- Track CTR and change thumbnails as the CTRs drop, ideally 3 thumbnail options per long form upload
- Should have extensively created thumbnails for YouTube. This is not a graphic designer’s role. This requires more of a strategic understanding of YouTube than the skill of graphic design
- Working with the Head of Content to create 3 options per long-form upload
- Actively tracking CTR and changing the thumbnail whenever CTR drops
- The thumbnail + Title will be the responsibility of this person. Hence, min CTR expected is above 6% for every long-format video
Skills required for the role from you
- 3+ years as a Thumbnail Designer or a related role in the media industry.
- Strong portfolio showcasing your creativity and ability to design engaging thumbnails.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or other relevant graphic design software.
- Understanding of video content formats, styles, and marketing strategies on platforms like YouTube.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth understanding and skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
- In-depth understanding of Mid Journey to generate style frames
