We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate to support customer acquisition and revenue growth initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, and has a strong interest in the fintech and payments ecosystem.

The Business Development Associate will work closely with internal teams to understand customer needs, contribute to sales strategies, and help deliver solutions that create long-term value for clients and the organization.

A Day in the Life

• Identify and connect with prospective clients through outreach, networking, and referrals.
• Support the sales pipeline by qualifying leads and scheduling discovery conversations.
• Collaborate with product, operations, and onboarding teams to craft tailored customer solutions.
• Prepare proposals, presentations, and sales materials.
• Track sales activities, maintain CRM records, and monitor pipeline health.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities within the payments space.

Key Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• 2 - 4 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or a customer-facing role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Self-starter with a proactive and goal-oriented mindset.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Tally ERP
• Good knowledge of Accounts payable & accounts receivable
• Basic knowledge of general accounting
• Basic knowledge of direct & indirect tax

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Become an expert in our technology and platforms
• Provide top-tier, highly skilled and attentive support to our consumer app teams.
• Perform production support, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks with a focus on quality and timeliness
• Work with the Implementations and Delivery Teams on defect resolution and solution delivery
• As an active member of the backend team you would utilize and promote best practices and standards
• You’ll develop new technical skills and gain industry knowledge
• You’ll provide occasional “after-hours” incident response and support
• Maintain software to integrate with internal back-end systems
• Build tools to reduce occurence of errors and improve customer experience
• Manage system troubleshooting and maintenance.

Required skills and qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience supporting Web and Backend based application software and environments preferred

• Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally

• Experience with version management systems like GIT, Subversion

• Knowledge on Payment gateways (Razorpay, Juspay)

• Experience with web application servers, basic idea on AWS and Azure

• Databases (SQL and NoSQL) and SQL query language.

• Good understanding of Networking principles.

• An understanding and background with Object Oriented Programming languages

• Required Full stack development knowledge.

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field

Position description:

• Architecture & Design systems for Predictive analysis and writing algorithms to deal with financial data
• Must have experience on web services and APIs (REST, JSON, and similar) and creation and consumption of RESTful APIs
• Proficiently writing algorithms with Python/Pandas/Numpy; Jupyter/PyCharm
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Eg. MSSQL, MongoDB, Redshift, PostgreSQL, Redis)
• Implementing Machine Learning Models using Python/R for best performance
• Working with Time Series Data & analyzing large data sets.
• Implementing financial strategies in python and generating reports to analyze the strategy results.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Writing algorithms to deal with financial data and Implementing financial strategies in (Python, SQL) and generating reports to analyze the strategy results.

Educational qualifications preferred Degree: Bachelors degree

Required Knowledge:

• Highly skilled in SQL, Python, Pandas, Numpy, Machine Learning, Predictive Modelling, Algorithm designing, OOPS concepts
• 2 - 7 years Full-Time working experience on core SQL, Python role (Non-Support)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, equivalent or higher education.
• Writing algorithms to deal with financial data and Implementing financial strategies in (Python, SQL) and generating reports to analyze the strategy results.

1. Engage and individually manage customers from inception of the project until the solution is live
2. Provide technical, business consulting and product expertise to customers enabling comprehensive solution to be delivered to the customers
3. Facilitate technical discussions and white boarding for project integrations and technical solutions from one to many technical applications
4. Determine the scope of the implementation technology solution and the resources required to successfully complete
5. Develop client requirements specifications for integrations, product extension and enhancements
6. Produce requirements specifications for the product management and engineering teams clearly articulating end-state requirements to meet customer expectations
7. Produce and manage client-facing documentation such as business requirements document, Gap document, Acceptance documents, solution mapping documents and so on
8. Ensure successful implementation/configuration of standard product suite and any additional customizations for each customer
9. Participate in project planning activities, including defining detailed project tasks/activities
10. Conduct implementation pilots and help customer envision final solution
11. Train new clients on the essentials of systems to get them started on implementations

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Passion to solve complex problems of agriculture in a dynamic start-up environment
• Flexible, curious, exploratory, and can-do attitude
• Great sense of ownership and ability to work with very limited supervision
• Prior experience of working in software Industry especially in the Agri Sector will be preferred
• Experience handling customer success and delivery
• Experience or familiarity of blockchain protocols like Hyperledger Fabric a big advantage
• Ability to speak English fluently
• PMP, ITIL Certifications is a plus

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to self-teach.
