Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our team. This role requires 6+ years of QA expertise, combining hands-on testing skills with the ability to guide and mentor junior team members. The ideal candidate will take ownership of QA processes, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of QA Processes: Lead end-to-end QA activities, including test planning, execution, and reporting.
- Team Collaboration: Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and efficient testing environment.
- Automation Expertise: Develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites using tools like Selenium and Python.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with development, product, and operations teams to integrate QA best practices into the development lifecycle.
- Performance Testing: Drive performance and load testing for critical applications using tools like JMeter.
- Defect Management: Ensure efficient bug tracking and resolution using tools like Jira.
- Quality Metrics: Implement and track metrics to measure testing efficiency and product quality.
- Mobile & Web Testing: Perform functional and regression testing for mobile (iOS and Android) and web applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in functional QA and automation testing.
- Proficiency in automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, Python, and Jenkins.
- Strong knowledge of mobile and web application testing.
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and basic SQL queries.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or Trello.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and manage testing priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based testing environments.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and DevOps practices.
- Experience with mobile automation tools like Appium.
