We are one of the growing edtech company in India with a focus on the US B2B market. We are looking for a Engineering Manager to join the team and lead engineering efforts. We are looking from Product Base companies only.
 

Key Responsibilities 

 

• Build and lead multiple agile/scrum teams of top-notch engineers to own, drive & deliver critical parts of our products. 
• Work closely with Software Developer to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development. 
• Ensure timely delivery of projects with high quality. 

• Set up best practices for development and champion their adoption. 
• Oversee architecture & design of technically robust, flexible and scalable solutions. 
• Architecting and engineering solutions which can meet the requirement of unknown customer buying off the shelf products 
• Engage with product management teams to drive the functionality, usability, and other non-functional requirements 
• Ensure on-time launches by managing design, development, and integration efforts according to a standard or customized project plan 

• Be a champion of engineering excellence: establish team metrics for measurement of engineering and operational excellence. Implement a consistent, regular process for assessment and improvement. 
• Show strong business and technical judgment that will accelerate time to market of releases, while incrementally moving our services towards the long-term vision. 
• Be responsible for mentoring and developing front line managers and engineers. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering 

• 10+ years of work experience in software development and 5+ years as a leadership role. 
•  Deep Understanding of enterprise grade technologies. 
•  Experience in building and running distributed systems for 24x7 online services at scale. 
• Deep understanding of JAVA, Spring boot, Hibernate.
•  Deep understanding & expertise with highly transactional, large relational and complex systems 
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis. 

• Experience in defining and executing professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle. 
• Strong analytic and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions. 
• Strengths in problem-solving, issue resolution, ability to work in a deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience. Engaging and influencing peers and executives.

About the Role

• Writing scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code
• Translating software requirements into stable, working, high performance software
• Playing a key role in architectural and design decisions, building toward an efficient microservices distributed architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Go programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms
• Knowledge of language patterns such as - Goroutine and Channels
• Experience with the full site of Go frameworks and tools, including:
• Dependency management tools such as Godep.
• Popular Go web frameworks, such as Echo
• Request routing and API mechanisms
• Ability to write clean and effective Godoc comments
• Familiarity with code versioning tools - primarily Git.
• A basic understanding of computing and Linux systems
• Basic knowledge of Systems Engineering
• Memory management and pointers, specifically in Golang
• Implement Docker for smaller-scale applications that require simpler deployments
• Employ Linux Terminal command structures to allow easy back-end operations for less-expert technical staff

Desired Candidate Profile:

-Development of Embedded device drivers, Ethernet, USB, SPI.
-Able to read data sheets.
-Good debug skills.
-Board bring up skill.
-Worked on application processor type boards( T2080/2081 etc. )
-Strong in embedded C
-Proficient in board bring up and device drivers is needed.
-System programming and building multi-platform SDK on Linux or other OS is desirable.
-Onsite system integration.
-Should have hands on debugging experience.
-Candidate is expected to have strong knowledge of C and C++.
-Understanding and experience using structured programming techniques.

• Concepting, creating, and building websites alongside our graphic design team, including taking designer wireframes and magically turning them into effective code.

• Understanding of libraries including Backbone.js and jQuery.

This person MUST have:
- BE Computer Science, MCA or equivalent
- Cloud app development experience
- Strong NodeJs and ReactJS experience
- Advanced knowledge of NodeJS and relational databases
- Understanding of APIs, pagination, searching, sorting
- Experience with building, modifying and extending API endpoints (REST or
GraphQL) for data retrieval and persistence.
