DevOps Engineer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a full-time Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to support and enhance our cloud, server, and network operations. The role involves managing virtualization platforms, container environments, automation tools, and CI/CD workflows while ensuring smooth, secure, and reliable infrastructure performance. The ideal candidate should be proactive, technically strong, and capable of working collaboratively across teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (B.E/B.Tech/BCA/MCA/M.Tech).
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP),including core services and IT infrastructure concepts.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization tools including vCenter, hypervisors, nested virtualization, and bare-metal servers and concepts.
• Practical knowledge of Linux and Windows servers, including cron jobs and essential Linux commands.
• Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Scripting proficiency in Python and Bash (PowerShell optional).
• Networking fundamentals (IP, routing, subnetting, LAN/WAN/WLAN).
• Experience with firewalls, basic security concepts, and tools like pfSense.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control and team collaboration.
• Ability to perform API testing using cURL and Postman.
• Strong understanding of the application deployment lifecycle and basic application deployment processes.
• Good problem-solving, analytical thinking, and documentation skills.

Roles and Responsibility

• Manage and maintain Linux/Windows servers, virtualization environments, and cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Use Terraform and Ansible to provision, automate, and manage infrastructure components.
• Support application deployment lifecycle—from build and testing to release and rollout.
• Deploy and maintain Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads using Docker.
• Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and integrate DevSecOps practices.
• Write automation scripts using Python/Bash to optimize recurring tasks.
• Conduct API testing using curl and Postman to validate integrations and service functionality.
• Configure and monitor firewalls including pfSense for secure access control.
• Troubleshoot network, server, and application issues using tools like Wireshark, ping, traceroute, and SNMP.
• Maintain Git/GitHub repos, manage branching strategies, and participate in code reviews.
• Prepare clear, detailed documentation including infrastructure diagrams, workflows, SOPs, and configuration records.

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools(IaS) like Terraform and Cloud Formation.
• Proficiency in cloud-native technologies and architectures (Docker/ Kubernetes), Ci/CD pipelines.
• Good experience in Javascript.
• Expertise in Linux / Windows environment.
• Good Experience in Scripting languages like PowerShell / Bash/ Python.
• Proficiency in revision control and DevOps best practices like Git

As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in managing our cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, and ensuring high availability across our global server network. You’ll work closely with our technical team to optimize performance and scalability.

Responsibilities

✅ Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily Azure)

✅ Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent)

✅ Monitor and optimize server performance & uptime (100% uptime goal)

✅ Work with cPanel-based hosting environments and ensure seamless operation

✅ Implement security best practices & compliance measures

✅ Troubleshoot system issues, scale infrastructure, and enhance reliability

Requirements

🔹 3-7 years of DevOps experience in cloud environments (Azure preferred)

Experience with Well Architected Review, Cloud Readiness Assessments and defining migration patterns (MRA/MRP) for application migration e.g. Re-host, Re-platform, Re-architect etc

Experience in architecting and deploying AWS Landing Zone architecture with CI/CD pipeline

Experience on architecture, design of AWS cloud services to address scalability, performance, HA, security, availability, compliance, backup and DR, automation, alerting and monitoring and cost

Hands-on experience in migrating applications to AWS leveraging proven tools and processes including migration, implementation, cutover and rollback plans and execution

Hands-on experience in deploying various AWS services e.g. EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Security Groups etc. using either manual or IaC, IaC is preferred

Hands-on Experience in writing cloud automation scripts/code such as Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation Template (AWS CFT) etc.

Hands-on Experience with application build/release processes CI/CD pipelines

Deep understanding of Agile processes (planning/stand-ups/retros etc), and interact with cross-functional teams i.e. Development, Infrastructure, Security, Performance Engineering, and QA

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases such as MySql, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch
• Debugging and troubleshooting skills using tools such as strace, tcpdump, etc
• Good understanding of networking protocol and security concerns (VPN, VPC, IG, NAT, AZ, Subnet)
• Experience with monitoring and data analysis tools such as Prometheus, EFK, etc
• Good communication & collaboration skills and attention to details
• Participation in rotating on-call duties

• Work with developers to build out CI/CD pipelines, enable self-service build tools and reusable deployment jobs. Find, explore, and advocate for new technologies for enterprise use.

Technical Skills

• Experience with AWS multi-region/multi-AZ deployed systems, auto-scaling of EC2 instances, CloudFormation, ELBs, VPCs, CloudWatch, SNS, SQS, S3, Route53, RDS, IAM roles, security groups, cloud watch
• Experience in Data Visualization and Monitoring tools such as Grafana and Kibana
• Experienced in Build and CI/CD/CT technologies like GitHub, Chef, Artifactory, Hudson/Jenkins
• Experience with log collection, filter creation, and analysis, builds, and performance monitoring/tuning of infrastructure.
• Automate the provisioning of environments pulling strings with Puppet, cooking up some recipes with Chef, or through Ansible, and the deployment of those environments using containers, like Docker or Rocket: (have at least some configuration management tool through some version control).

Qualifications:

• B.E/ B.Tech/ M.C.A in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 60% in Graduation and Post-Graduation.
