Hiring: IT Operations & Helpdesk Engineer (3–5 Years)

📍 Location: [Bangalore / Hybrid] 

We are looking for a hands-on IT Operations Engineer who will anchor our internal IT helpdesk while managing servers, backups, DR drills, and cloud infrastructure. This role is responsible for day-to-day IT stability across endpoints, servers, and Azure environments.

Key Activities

Internal IT Helpdesk (Primary Anchor)

·       Act as the single point of contact for internal IT support.

·       Resolve L1/L2 issues (laptops, OS, network, access, software installs).

·       Manage onboarding/offboarding IT setup.

·       Track tickets, SLAs, and recurring issues.

Infrastructure & Servers

·       Install and maintain Windows & Linux servers.

·       Maintain the centralized IT asset inventory.

·       Support manual and automated application deployments

·       Handle patching, upgrades, performance monitoring.

Cloud Administration (Azure)

·       Manage VMs, storage, networking.

·       Maintain access controls and security configurations.

Backup & DR Readiness

·       Manage and test backup processes.

·       Conduct periodic DR drills to support organizational continuity standards.

·       Maintain recovery runbooks and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Work in the area of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
• Be part of client-facing projects, working closely with Banks and Financial Institutions
• Act as a functional champion, partnering with Product Teams to support successful project delivery
• Liaise with clients to understand existing processes and map them to product features, use cases, and workflows
• Document business and functional requirements and obtain formal client sign-offs
• Provide end-to-end functional handholding to clients throughout the implementation lifecycle
• Support internal teams with functional understanding of GRC concepts and solutions
• Coordinate with domain partners and key stakeholders
• Conduct industry and market research, track trends, and recommend enhancements to the product

Qualification & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Operational Risk, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Compliance, either:
• In a technology company implementing GRC solutions, or
• Within the GRC / Risk function of a BFSI organization
• Strong knowledge of GRC will be given significant weightage
• Must possess strong fundamentals in the financial services domain

Educational Qualifications

• B.Com / BBA / BFM / MBA / CA / FRM / Risk-related certifications
• Candidates must demonstrate strong domain fundamentals irrespective of formal qualification

Gieom is a software product company working with Banks and Financial institutions across the globe, implementing software solutions in the areas of Operational Risk & Resilience, GRC and SOP Digitization.

Currently we are looking for candidates for Business Analyst role. The candidate is expected to possess knowledge is any of the areas as mentioned above with experience of 1-3 years in similar area. The candidate will be interacting with Risk teams of global banks to understand their requirements of enterprise risk management and help the bank / financial entity to implement their risk solution. 

Responsibility

• Work in the areas of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and Process Management
• Be part of project teams implementing solutions for global banks and financial institutions
• Liaise with client stakeholders to gather requirements, map processes, document needs, configure systems, and support project delivery
• Quickly learn products and deliver presentations on requirements and solutions
• Collaborate with Pre-Sales, Product teams, and clients for POCs and successful implementations
• Work closely with Product teams to understand new features and use cases
• Conduct independent industry and competitor research and contribute to marketing content such as case studies and blogs

Ideal Candidate

• Fresher or up to 3 years of relevant experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (mandatory for global client interaction)
• Willing to undertake long-duration local and international travel
• Risk certifications or finance/operations qualifications preferred
• Strong fundamentals in finance and operations (mandatory)
