Java/Fullstack Developer

The Role

This role is anything but conventional- It is an opportunity to define and execute our plans and make an impact on the development of millions of children.

As our tech lead, you will work closely with the founders to crystallize and own the product roadmap and then, to bring the product vision to life through simple, elegant design & code that delights users.

You will be the key architect of the product and will help the engineering team build and maintain the product across mobile and web. 

You will own development and delivery of the code- including analysis, optimization and debugging.

Key Skills

3-6 years of experience with backend and frontend web-based application development

2+ years of experience with React / Redux + HTML/CSS

2+ years of experience with Python

Have some experience with databases (SQL, MongoDB)

Have created meaningful APIs and models that are flexible and scalable

Roles and responsibilities:-

Risurge is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Full Stack professional to be an integral part of its Apps team. The Apps team is an essential part of the Technology team at Risurge and works on solving technical challenges related to processing, visualization and presentation of continually scaling data in an easily accessible manner on the Risurge platform. 

You will need to have hands-on experience in the latest technologies and skills like ReactJS, NodeJS, ExpressJS, PostgreSQL, Webpack, REST API etc. This role is ideal for you if you have a background in Full Stack development and are looking for the next level of career growth in a fast paced, learning based and merit driven work environment.

• 2+ years of software industry experience
• Strong Expertise in JS, PHP, React, Node, Angular2+, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of software design, development, testing, and problem-solving
• Expertise in coding efficient, high quality and modularized software
• Experience in developing Web services - Rest/Soap APIs/HTTP API - Microservices
• Experience setting up and managing servers. Devops experience is a big plus
• Strong exposure on Database like RDBMS - Postgres DB / NoSQL DB like DynamoDB, Elasticsearch
• Experience in Cloud / Storage like Amazon (AWS) - EC2/EBS/S3
• Expertise in test automation
• Familiarity with Unix shell and source control systems and tools such as git
• Strong technical leadership skills
• Comfortable collaborating with designers, front-end developers and other team members
• Strong communication skills
• Technical Coaching and mentoring skills
• Understanding of machine learning, natural language processing is a plus

• 5-7 years of relevant product design, development and testing experience
• Strong technical skills in java springboot/MVC frameworks, reactjS. API development, Cloud native solutions like lambda, azure functions is good to have.
• Database – primarily Mongo DB, Knowledge of postgres /MySQL is good to have
• DevOps - Knowledge of DevOps will be good to have
• API - Preferred experience with one of API gateway platform (Apigee, Mulesoft, Kong, WSO2)
• Good communication skills, with an ability to express and understand complex technical concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience of working with globally distributed teams.
• Innovative and Self learner for mentoring and problem resolutions.
