FinOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend, frontend, and mobile applications.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS).
• Configure and maintain Docker containers and/or Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation.
• Automate build, deployment, and monitoring processes.
• Manage code repositories using Git/GitHub/GitLab, enforce branching strategies.
• Implement monitoring and alerting using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK, Splunk.
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment and development workflows.
• Optimize infrastructure costs and improve performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Docker, containers, and orchestrators (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience with Linux administration and shell scripting.
• Strong understanding of Networking, VPC, DNS, Load Balancers, Security Groups.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools: CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation (IaC).
• Good understanding of Node.js or similar application deployments.
• Knowledge of NGINX/Apache and load balancing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred/Good to Have

• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS).
• Experience with Serverless architectures (Lambda).
• Experience with Redis, MongoDB, RDS.
• Certification in AWS Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with security best practices, IAM policies, and DevSecOps.
• Understanding of cost optimization and cloud cost management.

• Identity manual processes and automate them using various DevOps automation tools

• Maintain the organization’s growing cloud infrastructure

• Monitor and maintain DevOps environment stability

• Collaborate with distributed Agile teams to define technical requirements and resolve technical design issues

• Orchestrating builds and test setups using Docker and Kubernetes.

• Participate in designing and building Kubernetes, Cloud, and on-prem environments for maximum performance, reliability and scalability

• Share business and technical learnings with the broader engineering and product organization, while adapting approaches for different audiences

Requirements

• Candidates working for this position should possess at least 5 years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer.

• Candidate should have experience in ELK stack, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Solid experience in the AWS environment.

• Should have experience in monitoring tools like DataDog or Newrelic.

• Minimum of 5 years experience with code repository management, code merge and quality checks, continuous integration, and automated deployment & management using tools like Jenkins, SVN, Git, Sonar, and Selenium.

• Candidates must possess ample knowledge and experience in system automation, deployment, and implementation.

• Candidates must possess experience in using Linux, Jenkins, and ample experience in configuring and automating the monitoring tools.

• The candidates should also possess experience in the software development process and tools and languages like SaaS, Python, Java, MongoDB, Shell scripting, Python, PostgreSQL, and Git.

• Candidates should demonstrate knowledge in handling distributed data systems.

Examples: Elastisearch, Cassandra, Hadoop, and others.

You Have:

• B.Tech in Computer Science.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in DevOps.
• Proficiency in GCP, Azure, AWS ecosystems, and Cybersecurity
• Experience with: CI/CD automation, cloud service configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, security implementation.
• Familiarity with Blockchain will be an edge.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.

As a DevOps Engineer, you :

- Will work collaboratively with the engineering and customer support teams to deploy and operate our systems. 

- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.

- Help automate and streamline our operations and processes. 

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our test and production environments. 

- Take control of various mandates and change management processes to ensure compliance for various certifications (PCI and ISO 27001 in particular) 

- Monitor and optimize the usage of various cloud services. 

- Setup and enforce CI/CD processes and practices

Skills required :

- Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, ELB, S3, SES, to name a few)

- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration and hardening 

- Experience with automation using Ansible, Terraform or equivalent 

- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools (Jenkins) 

- Experience with container related technologies (docker, lxc, rkt, docker swarm, kubernetes)

- Working understanding of code and script (Python, Perl, Ruby, Java)

- Working understanding of SQL and databases 

- Working understanding of version control system (GIT is preferred) 

- Managing IT operations, setting up best practices and tuning them from time-totime. 

- Ensuring that process overheads do not reduce the productivity and effectiveness of small team. - Willingness to explore and learn new technologies and continuously refactor thetools and processes.

• 2+ years of demonstrable experience leading site reliability and performance in large-scale, high-traffic environments
• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps engineer
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills geared to getting things done

• Strong understanding of SRE concepts and the DevOps culture. Set the direction and strategy for your team, and help shape the overall SRE program for the company
