Experience required: 1. Experience in migrating/deploying 3rd party applications to Azure (specially Linux based applications) 2. Experience in PowerShell 3. Very good knowledge Azure storage solutions 4. Linux image building/conversion for Azure 5. Working experience in Azure IaaS, PaaS, storage, network and database 6. Experience in Azure deployment automation and DevOps (preferred) General Cloud knowledge to look for 1. Good experience database as a service in cloud 2. Very Good knowledge of Cloud storage. 3. Good understanding of HA/DR Setups in Cloud 4. Must have knowledge of Virtual machines (IAAS) and Cloud services (PAAS). 5. Summary Description Primary responsibility will be performing feature testing for Teradata high-volume Extract and Load utility Teradata Parallel Transporter including understanding the feature specifications early in the development cycle to create test specifications, test cases and test plan, under the guidance of the feature test team lead. Additional responsibility will include isolating and trouble shooting the problems, providing assistance to the developers in resolving problems. Candidate will be expected to work closely with team leader, Project Manager, team members. Programming skills in C++, Shell Scripting, Perl are required. Having SQL knowledge will be an added advantage. The ideal candidate will also be able to write Feature/ Unit Test cases and automation scripts in addition to doing some minor bug fixes. Project Assignment: Feature testing for Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) features, Unit testing of bug fixes, Providing assistance in debugging and isolating the problems, writing feature test specifications and providing testing support for critical filesystem issues. Key Areas of Responsibility: Responsible primarily for the feature testing of Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT) features and bug fixes. Participate in understanding of feature enhancements and creation of test specifications, cases and plan as needed. Develop test programs using C++ language. Develop test scripts using TPT syntax. Write technical documents that accurately describe unit test plans and reports. Execute tests according to approved test plans. Aptitude for understanding complex software from the functional and technical perspective. Report progress against objectives on periodic basis Scope: Individual Contributor Works with project team members, reports to engineering manager. Work Environment: Software Development and Maintenance Key Competencies/Skills: Good programming skills with C++ and scripting languages such as Shell, Perl.
