You will build, deploy and monitor various services on highly scalable infrastructure. What we are looking for: On the backend, we’re looking for experience with PHP/Node.js/Python. Having built scalable backends using any one of these would be preferable. You should be able to design RESTful APIs that are not overly constrained, and can easily be consumed by the frontend dev. You have worked with Relational databases like MySql, Postgres and understand partitioning, sharding, as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB/Elasticsearch etc. You should be at ease with maintaining cloud instances on AWS, Rackspace, Digital Ocean and the like, and you should be at home with provisioning Linux, Redis, RabbitMQ. Experience with Docker in production would be prized. You should have a deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms and understand how to apply them to design pragmatic solutions.
