Senior Java Backend Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using best practices and modern frameworks.

• Integrate and manage AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.

• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices architecture to support scalable and robust applications.

• Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker to automate deployment processes.

• Monitor and troubleshoot application performance, defect triaging, and reliability issues, providing timely support and resolution.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and AWS services to continuously improve our technology stack.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5-7 years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.

• Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, etc.

• Experience with Spring Boot and other Java frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll bring to the team?

• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Good experience in System & Solution design.

Responsibilities:

• Create, deploy, monitor, and maintain high performance and scalable microservices in the production.
• Design/develop Restful Services, data analysis, troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Take end to end ownership for complex technical projects from planning through execution.
• Build, optimize, and manage ad solution Platform for the enterprise level. 
• Perform code review and manage technical debt
• Handle release deployments and production issues

Required Skills: 

• Overall 8+ years of experience in application development using Java with creating and deploying microservices using the Spring Boot framework.
• Strong experience in Maven.
• Good experience in unit(Junit) and integration testing.
• Experience in Microservices is a must.
• Experience in designing and developing REST based services / Microservice development.
• Experience with delivering projects in an agile environment using SCRUM methodologies.
• Candidate should have good communication skills (written and verbal)
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Any one of these database Mongo, Maria, RMQ, Postgres, or other NoSQL servers
• Experience in AWS and CI/CD

Good to have:

• Experience using container management tools such as Kubernetes, Docker and Rancher.

• Proficiency in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems
• Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) Patterns and Concepts
• Familiarity with different design and architectural patterns
• Skill for writing reusable Java libraries 
• Knowhow of Java concurrency patterns
• Basic Understanding of the concepts of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), and RESTful web services
• Experience in working with popular web application frameworks like Play and Spark

Job Description

·       Strong Core Java / C++ experience with Strong Handson Coding

·       Excellent understanding of Logical ,Object-oriented design patterns, algorithms and data structures.

·       Sound knowledge of application access methods including authentication mechanisms, API quota limits, as well as different endpoint REST, Java etc

·       Strong exp in databases - not just a SQL Programmer but with knowledge of DB internals

·       Sound knowledge of Cloud database available as service is plus (RDS, CloudSQL, Google BigQuery, Snowflake )

·       Experience working in any cloud environment and microservices based architecture utilizing GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, CircleCI, Azure or similar technologies
