Senior Frontend Engineer

 

Responsibilities:

• Working closely with product, design and development team to achieve high cohesion across features and;
• Feasibility analysis of the technical requirements and web designs;
• You will be responsible to develop and contribute towards consumer-facing web application;
• Writing modular code to achieve loose coupling and reusability of modules across application;
• Architecting, prototyping and implementing high-impact modules for our end users;
• UI/UX.

Requirements:

• High Proficiency in frontend technologies like Angular, React JS, Vue.Js Redux etc.;
• Good design skills and knowledge and experience working with UI design patterns and frameworks;
• Good understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application;
• 3-5 years of strong hands-on experience in Angular and React.

About KAFQA

At Kafqa, we are building the next generation performing arts platform. Our mission is to transform how India learns, performs & watchers performing arts. We are currently in stealth mode with a target public launch date in April. Our launch services consist of technology enabled dance classes in our proprietary studios, production facilities and social media broadcasting & competitions.

Founder & Team

The founder is Shariq Plasticwala. He is a graduate of IIT Bombay & Stanford GSB. He was part of the founding team of Amazon India where he played a key role for over 8 years. Among his roles at Amazon, he was the CEO of Amazon’s first joint venture in India and a Board Member of Amazon’s payments business. The other members of the founding team consist of senior executives from Shiamak Davar & Byju’s.

Role

We are looking for an experienced Frontend engineer with ReactJS development experience to join our team.
Here’s are some of the things you might have to do on any given day:

• Implement responsive and performant UIs with user centered approach with frontend technologies including ReactJS, Javascript(ES 6), Typescript, SCSS, etc
• Write meaningful test cases for frontend &amp
• Develop Infrastructure for delivering services using a performance driven approach, build databases, schedule automated jobs, etc

 

Ideal Background / Experience

• At least 12 months of diverse experience in web development for product or services oriented environment with exposure to working production deployments
• Expertise in programming using Python/ReactJS or similar scripting languages
• In-depth exposure to technologies used in web-based SaaS products, including REST APIs
• Sound understanding of Postgres and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB

Nice to have exposure to any of

• AWS
• Azure
• ELK
• Object Relational Models (SQLAlchemy, etc)
• Google APIs
• Microservices Architecture Pattern
• NodeJS / ExpressJS

 

 

• Build Frontend experience that drive simple and easy to use experiences.
• Partner with Senior Engineers to define the frontend technical approach.
• Develop, test, and maintain tools and solutions to facilitate quick and easy customer onboarding.
• Collaborate with Customer Success and Engineering teams to build best-in-market PaaS solutions.
• Work closely with Customer Success, Sales, and Engineering teams on customising enterprise
environments to meet customer requirements.
• Participate in scrum activities to plan, execute and release software.
• Creative and alternate solution recommendations with growth mindset.
Eligibility:
• Minimum 3 years of experience building frontend applications using ReactJS.
• Strong command over HTML and CSS is a must
• Comfortable with using tools like GitHub.
• Should have CI/CD knowledge using GitHub and Azure App Services.
• Should have considerable exposure to developing and deploying React solutions on Azure.
Good to have:
• UX designing experience with XD or Figma.

Work collaboratively with product managers to translate requirements into reusable fast
web modules

● Develop well-written front-end code for new product features as well as maintain code
and fix defects within the existing code base
● Apply best-practices and coding patterns to ensure your solutions are maintainable,
modular of high code-quality and work well across browsers and devices
● We have multiple automated checks in place before your code goes live. Some important
ones include bundle size, Lint errors, Lighthouse Scores, integration test suites and
many more, so we expect you to be compliant with them. We want our developers to be

• Experience with popular ReactJS state management such as Redux or Flux
• Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript (ES6+)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs consumption
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

The job duties will include: Assists in the design, coding, testing, and maintenance of in-house software solutions. Understands and executes the software development life cycles and processes at Bit Brothers. Establishes and meets project deadlines. Creating documentation on Bit Brothers front-end standards, and helping to maintain the Bit Brothers pattern-library. Adheres to and develops coding standards set forth by other developers. Interface with designers, developers, and business personnel to create and implement UI/UX solutions. Required Skills / Qualifications: Quick learner. Experience in front-end development HTML/CSS, responsive web, etc. Interest in modern web development; CSS/HTML/Javascript preprocessors, AngularJS, etc. Brownie Points Basic understanding of BEM css naming conventions and Atomic Design principles. Key Responsibilities: ●     Optimize and improve a modular JS codebase. ●     Work with a cross-functional team of engineers. ●     Maintain, Improve and Optimize video Player JS plugins. ●     Using Javascript , create working prototypes for new concepts, ideas, or platforms we want to explore. ●     Optimize and add new features to our existing charmboard video player plugins.
