SAP ABAP Trainer

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Trainer to deliver high-quality training sessions to participants, guiding them through the intricacies of SAP ABAP programming and development. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP, coupled with excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching. The trainer will be responsible for equipping learners with practical knowledge, tools, and techniques essential for SAP ABAP roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs in SAP ABAP.
• Conduct live training sessions, workshops, and hands-on labs on core ABAP modules, including data dictionary, reports, module pool programming, ALV, and more.
• Develop course materials, tutorials, assessments, and project-based exercises to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.
• Keep curriculum up-to-date with the latest SAP ABAP features, best practices, and industry trends.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to learners, helping them troubleshoot issues and enhance their understanding of complex concepts.
• Evaluate learners’ progress and performance through assessments, quizzes, and practical assignments.
• Support the creation of online learning resources (e.g., video tutorials, e-learning modules).
• Collaborate with the curriculum development team to refine and improve training content.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of [3-5] years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
• In-depth knowledge of core SAP ABAP concepts, including Data Dictionary, Reports, Enhancements, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, ALV, and Smart Forms.
• Prior experience in training, mentoring, or teaching in SAP ABAP is highly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a clear ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt training methods to accommodate different learning styles.
• SAP certification in ABAP (preferred but not mandatory).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in other SAP modules (e.g., SAP Fiori, S/4HANA) or additional SAP programming languages.
• Familiarity with online training platforms and tools.
• Ability to engage in project-based teaching with real-world SAP ABAP scenarios.

• Planning all the upcoming activities with the client and with the team and making sure it is

executed on time.

• Experience in monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP HANA systems and performed

the system refresh activities

• Installation of SAP Hana Database 1.0 and 2.0

• Starting and stopping of SAP HANA systems

• Monitoring SAP HANA system landscape

• Create and configure connection SLT to ECC

• Initial configuration of SLT Replication Server

• Experienced in using various HANA database tools like HANA studio

• Scheduling regular backups of HANA system

• SAP Hana system Refresh and performed the Revision upgrades

• Upgrades the Hana Database from 1.0 and 2.0

• Performed the Client Copies, Movement of Transports, configured the Printers and Applied

the support packages in ABAP and Java systems using SPAM and SUM

• Expertise in Integrating Gateway OData/JSON services with UI5 Apps, System Landscape, Architecture, SSO, Security Set Up and Gateway Configuration

• Fiori Package Configuration on SAP Gateway & Backend ECC App Configuration

• Customization & Extension of Fiori Apps

• Drive the System Landscape, Architecture, Security, Users Set Up

• Configure Gateway & Fiori Infrastructure (with support from Basis Team)

• Fiori App Configuration ( SAP Gateway & S/4HANA System)

• Work with Functional and Technical Resources in Setting up the S/4HANA Backend

• Set User Roles, Profiles, Apply Notes & Fixes in ABAP Systems

• Roll out Apps to Business Users for Testing

• Expertise in coding for consuming data for UI5 Apps through Netweaver Gateway OData/JSON services.

• Expertise in extending OData service/OData models

• Expertise in customizing/Extending the standard Fiori Apps

• Expertise in creating HANA Schemas, Packages, Attribute Views, Analytical Views, Calculation Views with HANA LIVE, Attribute mapping, creation of calculated measures, Calculated attributes, Input parameters, Variables, Restricted measures, Constant columns, Currency Unit conversion, stored procedures and maintaining analytical privileges, and involved in Data Provisioning using SLT and BODS(data services) meta data import. Involved in Export/Import of models, validations.

• Expertise in using AMDP, CDS views, ADBC, External views

• Configure IDOC settings relate to segment, IDOC type, message type, partner profile, port, RFC connection etc.
• Develop Java class for AES symmetric decryption and decompression of web service.
• Configure the EDI process to enable client to exchange documents with the business partners.
• Develop a program to update credit card details from a FTP file in FI/CO.
• Modify the above LSMW to accumulate quantity for the same records and post as one record.
• Develop a BDC for FICO to calculate and update full payment, partial payment and pending.
• Develop the data migration programs for vendor master and customer master upload from legacy system using LSMW.
• Embed the e-mail body content of customer in auto response e-mail generate by CRM system to the customer.
• Act on programs for credit card encryption/decryption to update and settlement in contract and billing in SD and FI/CO.
• Create report which will take data from SRM system against valid PO numbers and perform the calculations in ECC system.
• Configure asset module (fix assets), including asset classes, integration with purchasing, and assets under construction.
• Create picking list using message type PICKSD and corresponding IDOC type SDPIODO1 is used for sending information to warehouse management system.
• Develop a custom workflow for employee simplify performance management reviews and identification of top performers.
• Perform requirement gathering and technical feasibility over client expectation and defining development guidelines for ABAP team.
• Create technical specification for all the objects like workflow specification and report specifications base on the functional specification.
