
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly technical Quality Engineering - Manager who will act as a hands-on QE and Automation leader while guiding a team to deliver high-quality outcomes. This role is primarily focused on technical ownership, automation strategy, architecture decisions, and complex problem solving, with limited but effective people and delivery management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership (Primary - 80%)
- Define and own end-to-end Quality Engineering and Automation strategy across programs
- Design, review, and evolve test automation frameworks (UI, API, integration, regression)
- Drive CI/CD-integrated automation, quality gates, and shift-left testing practices
- Provide hands-on guidance in test design, framework optimization, and automation scalability
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex QE, automation, and release issues
- Establish standards for test coverage, reliability, maintainability, and performance
- Review automation metrics and drive measurable improvements in quality and delivery speed
- Evaluate and recommend QE tools, frameworks, and modern testing approaches
Delivery & Client Engagement (Secondary)
- Translate client quality requirements into technical QE solutions and automation roadmaps
- Participate in client technical discussions, reviews, and solution walkthroughs
- Ensure technical delivery aligns with agreed timelines and quality benchmarks
People & Program Leadership (Supporting)
- Lead and mentor QE leads and senior automation engineers
- Provide technical coaching, code reviews, and skill development guidance
- Support delivery planning, risk management, and status reporting
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to resolve delivery challenges
Mandatory Skills & Experience (Must Have)
- 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / Software Testing
- Strong hands-on expertise in test automation frameworks and architecture
- Experience with UI, API, and integration test automation
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Continuous Testing
- Proven experience acting as a technical lead or architect for QE programs
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in complex environments
- Experience working in Agile / DevOps delivery models
Preferred Skills & Experience (Good to Have)
- Experience leading automation-first quality transformations
- Exposure to performance and non-functional testing
- Client-facing experience in technical roles
- Experience mentoring or leading small to mid-sized QE teams
