Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Java developers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Technical Guidance: Provide expert guidance on Java, JSP, Servlets, Spring Boot, and Hibernate, ensuring best practices and high-quality code standards.
• Problem Solving: Quickly identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues, providing instant and effective solutions.
• Code Review: Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality, performance, and security.
• Server Management: Manage server configurations, deployments, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and Product Management, to align development activities with business goals.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, and continuously improve development processes and practices.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (tier 1/2), Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Java development, Minimum 1 year experience in leading Team

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Java, JSP, Servlets, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Strong understanding of server-side technologies and server management.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Familiarity with database management systems, particularly SQL.
• Fluency in English
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and managing development teams.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms,

• Minimum 6 years of experience with deep technical knowledge and hands on skills in Java.

• Has worked extensively on caching technologies such as Redis, memcache.

• Should be strong with Data Strcutures, Algorithms & OOPs concepts.

• Worked on NoSQL databases such as MongoDb.

• Designed and developed highly scalable multi-threaded large scale distributed systems.

• Well versed with services and micro-services architecture.

5 years of architecture, design and programming experience preferably in fast-paced dynamic environment

Strong application design and implementation skills, solid understanding of the entire development cycle.

Strong background in Java/J2EE based application

Strong background in Spring/Spring boot based application

Strong background in Microservices based application

Experience working with Apache and/or Tomcat

Experience in transforming requirements to software design

Strong Experience with developing Java SAAS web applications.

Working experience in Industry Standard protocols related API Security including OAuth

Demonstrate strong design and programming skills using JSON, Web Services, XML, XSLT, PL/SQL in Unix and Windows environments.

Strong background working with Linux/UNIX environments.

Strong Shell scripting experience.

Working knowledge with Oracle, DB2 or MongoDB databases.

 Passion to stay on top of the latest happenings in the tech world and an attitude to discuss and bring those into play.  Strong agile/scrum development experience

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and code features in the back-end as per the specifications provided by the Product and Design teams.
• Ship features in fast moving agile sprints.
• Work closely with Product Design and Product Management teams to brainstorm and chalk out details of features.
• Ability to build a feature from scratch & drive it to completion.
• Strong skills in architecting database models.
• Ability to document your code as this will be an open-core project.
• Ability to write unit, integration, and end to end tests.
• Conduct peer code review.

Must have:

• Strong understanding of Javascript and NodeJS.
• Good understanding of asynchronous programming, callback, and closures.
• Experience developing applications that use queues like SQS, RabbitMQ, Kafka, etc.
• Experience with AWS services like S3, EC2, etc.
• Experience with Docker.
• Should be strong in Postgres database.
• Test driven development and use of frameworks like Mocha, Cypress.
• Strong proficiency in English and writing skills.

Good to have

• Basic knowledge of CI, CD
• Intermediate knowledge in any cloud services (AWS, GCP)
• Have created GraphQL APIs or worked with the Apollo framework.
