Azure Virtual Desktop Support / Specialist Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Support / Specialist Engineer with hands-on experience in Azure Virtual Desktop / Windows Virtual Desktop environments. The candidate should also have exposure to data center and DWS environments and be comfortable coordinating infrastructure activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AVD-related technical issues.
- Plan and execute infrastructure activities within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth project execution.
- Monitor and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Track progress and provide regular status updates and documentation.
- Ensure infrastructure activities follow technical standards, security policies, and best practices.
- Support data center and DWS-related infrastructure activities.
Required Skills
- 4–6 years of relevant IT infrastructure experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Good knowledge of Windows Virtual Desktop (WVD).
- Good understanding of Microsoft Azure.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with infrastructure and cross-functional teams.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
Good to Have

- Build cost dashboards, budgets, and alerts; drive a culture of cost-aware engineering
Linux Server Management & Infrastructure
- Administer and harden Linux servers (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS/RHEL) — patching, security, SSH, firewalls
- Manage VPS/bare-metal provisioning, capacity planning, and containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes/Nomad)
