About the Team
We're seeking a mid-level Data Engineer with strong DBA experience to join our insurtech data analytics team. This role focuses on supporting various teams including infrastructure, reporting, and analytics. You'll be responsible for SQL performance optimization, building data pipelines, implementing data quality checks, and helping teams with database-related challenges. You'll work closely with the infrastructure team on production support, assist the reporting team with complex queries, and support the analytics team in building visualizations and dashboards.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Database Administration & Optimization
- Support infrastructure team with production database issues and troubleshooting
- Debug and resolve SQL performance issues, identify bottlenecks, and optimize queries
- Optimize stored procedures, functions, and views for better performance
- Perform query tuning, index optimization, and execution plan analysis
- Design and develop complex stored procedures, functions, and views

Data Engineering & Pipelines

Ideal Candidate Profile

- 5-8 years of experience in data engineering and database administration
