⭐ Hiring: Databricks Data Engineer – Lakeflow | Streaming | DBSQL | Data Intelligence

We are looking for a Databricks Data Engineer ( Azure ) to build reliable, scalable, and governed data pipelines powering analytics, operational reporting, and the Data Intelligence Layer.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

✅ Build optimized batch pipelines using Delta Lake (partitioning, OPTIMIZE, Z-ORDER, VACUUM)

✅ Implement incremental ingestion using Databricks Autoloader with schema evolution & checkpointing

✅ Develop Structured Streaming pipelines with watermarking, late data handling & restart safety

✅ Implement declarative pipelines using Lakeflow

✅ Design idempotent, replayable pipelines with safe backfills

✅ Optimize Spark workloads (AQE, skew handling, shuffle & join tuning)

✅ Build curated datasets for Databricks SQL (DBSQL), dashboards & downstream applications

✅ Package and deploy using Databricks Repos & Asset Bundles (CI/CD)

Ensure governance using Unity Catalog and embedded data quality checks

✅ Mandatory Skills (Must Have)

👉 Databricks & Delta Lake (Advanced Optimization & Performance Tuning)

👉 Structured Streaming & Autoloader Implementation

👉 Databricks SQL (DBSQL) & Data Modeling for Analytics

● 5+ years of experience as a Data engineer or related role.

● 5+ years of experience in application development using Python

● Strong experience with SQL and good to have NoSQL.

● Experience with Agile engineering practices.

● Preferred experience in writing queries for RDBMS, cloud-based data warehousing solutions like

Snowflake.

● Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

● Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is good to have

● Experience with ETL/LT tools and methodologies.

● Experience working on real-time Data Streaming and Data Streaming platforms

• 3-8+ years of experience programming in a backend language (Java / Python), with a good understanding of troubleshooting errors. 
• 5+ years of experience in Confluent Kafka / 3+ years of experience in Confluent Kafka 

• Cloud Kafka, Control Central, Rest Proxy, HA Proxy, Confluent Kafka Connect, Confluent Kafka Security features 

You have 5 years or more of Backend end development experience with expertise in designing and implementing high-performance applications.

Worked with and built high-performance products using Node Js/GoLang/ Python and have seen the product evolution cycle from PoC to Production

You have a deep understanding of design principles and can rightly judge/implement solutions to complex problems

You are capable of writing high-quality code that conforms to the standards and best practices in a particular language/framework.

You have experience building a product using a mainstream library or framework.

You love to own end to end responsibility, starting from defining the problem statement (either yourself or alongside your peers), development (PoC if needed), testing, releasing in staging & then production environment, and finally monitoring.

Previous work experience in product-based startups

Experience building for products that have scaled and have seen the product evolution

• A Bachelors or master’s degree in engineering.
• 2-4 years of experience in software product development.
• Excellent in Data structure, Algorithms & Problem-solving skills.
• Should be willing to code in Node.js/Java/Python/ROR/Golang
• Write extensive, efficient code to address complex modules and that handles interaction between multiple components.
• Customer-focused, react well to changes, work with teams and able to multi-task.
• Must be a proven performer and team player that enjoy challenging assignments in a high-energy, fast growing and start-up workplace.
• Must be a self-starter who can work well with minimal guidance and in fluid environment
