Senior Manager of Infrastructure & Cloud Capabilities
The Director plays a critical role in guiding strategic technology investments for infrastructure, cloud and information security technologies and operates as part of a dynamic team under the Chief Technology Officer. The Director has responsibility for strategic technology planning and oversees team in Infrastructure Services and Information Security, while also playing an enterprise-wide leadership role.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the vision, design and deployment of cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, and network systems for cloud hosting;
- Provide cloud hosting and data service management strategy, process, and procedures across the organization;
- Manage the configuration and operation of Network and Edge devices and technology
- Lead a consistent, measurable process to operationalize and scale cloud based strategic initiatives and execution;
- Develop and mentor a high performing team of global professionals;
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and direction related to cloud hosting service delivery;
- Work closely with Data Engineering, Data Factory Operations and technology vendors to ensure SLAs are met and quality meets or exceed expectations;
- Continuously improve and drive adherence to security and compliance safeguards, policies, procedures and obligations
- Manage all Cloud subscription and consumption activities including yearly contracts and multi-year commitments
- Manage Industry Certifications and periodic assessments
- Oversee End User productivity technology and support activities
- Establish key KPI, SLA’s, metrics and measurements demonstrating area health. Communicates through operational reviews. Measure and track against industry benchmarks and standards;
- Identify and implement critical metrics necessary to manage and monitor the performance of overall operations including: capacity, availability, and budget
- Develop opportunities for cross-team effectiveness and remove organizational barriers for strong teamwork, collaboration, and excellent service delivery
- Manage budgeting and forecasting, planning, deployment, incident and problem management, change management
- Manage Cloud based Innovation - stay abreast of evolving and changing cloud-based service offerings to optimize our infrastructure or become the basis for corporate innovation
About you:
- Bachelor's degree in technology, business or a related field;
- Minimum of 10 years of experience operating and managing Infrastructure with at least 4 years of experience in cloud computing (MS Azure)
- Strong proficiency in Server, Storage, Networking, Edge, End User technologies
- Proven track record of success in service delivery leadership and customer satisfaction
- Strong understanding of MS Azure and the cloud computing market
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- ITIL proficient - ability to drive key functions such as Incident Management Problem Management, Change Management and Configuration Management
- Maintain a strong Service Orientation in support of SaaS/PaaS offerings
