Vijay Sales is seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Databricks and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the availability and quality of our data to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to process large volumes of data using Databricks.
• Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources including databases, APIs, and third-party data providers into our data lake and data warehouse.
• Data Modeling: Create and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize data processing workflows for efficiency and performance.
• Data Quality: Implement data quality checks and monitoring processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data engineering processes, code, and data architecture.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proven experience working with Databricks.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or Scala.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Technical Skills:
• Expertise in big data technologies such as Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
• Knowledge of ETL tools and processes.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.

• Soft Skills:
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with real-time data processing.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts and tools.
• Familiarity with data governance and data cataloging tools.
