Senior Data Analyst – Power BI, GCP, Python & SQL
Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Python, and SQL to design data models, automate analytics workflows, and deliver business intelligence that drives strategic decisions. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who can work with complex datasets in the cloud, build intuitive dashboards, and code custom analytics using Python and SQL.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop advanced Power BI dashboards and reports based on structured and semi-structured data from BigQuery and other GCP sources.
* Write and optimize complex SQL queries (BigQuery SQL) for reporting and data modeling.
* Use Python to automate data preparation tasks, build reusable analytics scripts, and support ad hoc data requests.
* Partner with data engineers and stakeholders to define metrics, build ETL pipelines, and create scalable data models.
* Design and implement star/snowflake schema models and DAX measures in Power BI.
* Maintain data integrity, monitor performance, and ensure security best practices across all reporting systems.
* Drive initiatives around data quality, governance, and cost optimization on GCP.
* Mentor junior analysts and actively contribute to analytics strategy and roadmap.
Must-Have Skills
* Expert-level SQL : Hands-on experience writing complex queries in BigQuery , optimizing joins, window functions, CTEs.
* Proficiency in Python : Data wrangling, Pandas, NumPy, automation scripts, API consumption, etc.
* Power BI expertise : Building dashboards, using DAX, Power Query (M), custom visuals, report performance tuning.
* GCP hands-on experience : Especially with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and optionally Cloud Composer or Dataflow.
* Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and analytics workflows.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain data insights to non-technical audiences.
