Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Inspector to conduct routine inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Inspect incoming raw materials as per specifications.

Conduct in-process quality checks during production shifts.

Inspect finished products before dispatch clearance.

Record inspection results and identify non-conformities.

Segregate and tag rejected or defective materials.

Support root-cause analysis for recurring quality issues.

Maintain inspection registers, quality records, and sample records.

Coordinate with Production and other teams to address quality issues.

Qualification & Experience

ITI / Diploma in Plastic Technology, Quality, or a related field.

1–3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a plastic manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of Injection Moulding / Blow Moulding processes will be an advantage.

What you will own

1. Scout newsworthy videos, creator content, and trending conversations across multiple platforms.
2. Identify stories and moments worth publishing on AM:PM.
3. Research and fact-check information before it reaches our audience.
4. Write compelling headlines, video titles, push notifications, captions, and social copy.
5. Work closely with the editorial and video teams to package stories for maximum reach and engagement.
6. Stay on top of politics, business, technology, entertainment, sports, and internet culture to ensure AM:PM is always ahead of the conversation.
7. Move fast without compromising accuracy, credibility, or editorial standards.

Who you are

• 0-2 years of experience through internships, freelance work, journalism, digital media, content or editorial roles.
• You instinctively know where trends and stories break first.
• You can write headlines and notifications that make people stop scrolling.
• You have strong news judgment and understand the importance of fact-checking.
• You are internet-native, curious, resourceful, and obsessed with what's happening online.
• Based in Mumbai or willing to relocate within commutable distance.

Position Summary

The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring quality standards across the entire rice value chain, including procurement, processing, storage, polishing, sorting, packing, and dispatch. The role involves managing quality systems, supervising laboratory testing, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to deliver consistent product quality.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Control & Assurance

• Implement and monitor quality standards for raw, semi-processed, and finished rice
• Conduct quality checks for grain length, moisture, purity, color, foreign matter, broken percentage, and aroma
• Oversee grading, sorting, polishing, and packing operations
• Approve final batches before dispatch as per contract and market requirements

Laboratory & Testing Management

• Supervise laboratory testing and quality analysis
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing equipment
• Maintain accurate test documentation and reports

Supplier & Procurement Coordination

• Inspect incoming rice from suppliers and traders
• Evaluate and onboard suppliers based on quality parameters
• Coordinate with procurement to reject substandard material and improve sourcing quality

Process Improvement & Compliance

• Drive continuous improvement in milling, grading, and sorting processes
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, BRC, and export quality standards
• Lead and support internal and external quality audits
• Handle customer complaints and conduct root cause analysis

Team Leadership & Reporting

• Train production, sorting line, and lab teams on quality standards
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly quality performance reports

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• 7–12 years of experience in rice mill operations or the rice export industry
• Strong knowledge of Basmati and Non-Basmati rice grades and processing standards
• Hands-on experience with color sorters, polishers, and graders (preferred)
• Understanding of milling parameters, moisture control, and storage practices
