Purpose of The Role:The VP-Engineering will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of IT architecture models and their components. He also required to interpret, use and apply information contained within IT architecture to inform a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of IT support systems.VP Engineering – IT is expected to ensure that the overall IT architecture is maintained in a coherent manner and that appropriate considerations are made for its security and quality. Present findings and work with the Business Unit Leader and other key stakeholders to frame tactical and strategic goals.3. Leverage IT to enable business: Deep dive on technology options and make recommendations on technology solutions to improve business processes. Develop, define, and build business cases for process/ technology change. Support leadership in key decisions such as build vs. buy and selection of off-the-shelf technology solutions. Understand critical business and information technology risks. Balance technology and business issues as well as communicate appropriately with both technology and business experts.Develop use cases and other technical documents with IT project staff to ensure business requirements are adequately reflected in technical planning documents. Ensurethat all tests are conducted and documented according the standards agreed upon by the business unit and IT.4. Program Management: Take business process improvement from the conceptualization phase to the final implementation. Create and deploy a program strategy and fully own the delivery of proposed outcomes through various projects in the program5. Change Management: Develop communication and change management plans as they relate to process improvement. Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, department leads and external client/vendors in implementing the change.
