Job Description:
We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer (5–8 years) to join our core engineering team. The role involves end-to-end ownership of embedded hardware design, including schematics, component selection, library creation, and guiding PCB layout through fabrication in collaboration with PCB teams. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a practical understanding of real-world systems, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
We are looking for a serious, long-term professional who is passionate about hardware design and willing to take full ownership of product development.
Job Responsibilities:
• Design and develop end-to-end embedded hardware systems (analogue & digital) from concept to production
• Architect and implement designs using MPUs/MCUs (i.MX, Sitara, STM32, Renesas)
• Develop robust schematics, perform component selection, and ensure reliability, safety, and compliance considerations
• Implement and integrate high-speed and industrial interfaces (DDR, Ethernet, USB, CAN, RS-485, SPI, I2C, UART)
• Perform circuit simulations and design validation using tools like PSpice / LTSpice
• Work closely with PCB layout engineers to:
• Define stack-up and routing constraints
• Ensure Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI)
• Review and approve PCB layouts
• Analyze schematics and design documents to guide PCB placement and routing strategy
• Lead board bring-up, debugging, and root cause analysis
• Use lab tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.) for hardware validation and troubleshooting
• Ensure DFM/DFT compliance and support manufacturing, assembly, and testing
• Drive designs through prototype (PCBA), validation, and production readiness
• Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams for system-level integration
• Participate in design reviews, risk analysis, and issue resolution
Required Skills:
• Strong expertise in analogue circuit design (power, filtering, protection, signal conditioning)
• Solid experience in digital design using MCU/MPU-based system
• Hands-on experience with:
o NXP i.MX / TI Sitara (MPU-based systems preferred)
o STM32 / Renesas microcontrollers
• Proven experience in high-speed hardware design:
o DDR memory interfaces
o Ethernet, USB, and high-speed communication buses
• Strong understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI)
• Experience working with and guiding PCB design using:
o Mentor Graphics Xpedition
o Cadence Allegro o Altium Designer
• Hands-on experience with simulation tools (PSpice, LTSpice)
• Strong hardware debugging skills using:
o Oscilloscope
o Logic analyzer
o Multimeter
• Experience in board bring-up and hardware validation
• Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Testability)
• Exposure to EMI/EMC design practices
• Experience in taking designs from schematic → PCB → PCBA → validation → production
• Good understanding of hardware–firmware interaction and system integration
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability.

We seek a Robotic Navigation Engineer with deep technical rigor and a passion for developing mission-critical navigation, estimation, and path planning systems for UAVs. The role demands hands-on engagement across the autonomy stack. You will work at the intersection of robotics, AI, and aerospace, translating research into reliable field-deployable systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement algorithms for joint state estimation, integrating multi-sensor inputs.
- Develop dynamic and real-time path planning solutions for UAVs.
- Create and validate flight simulations using various COTS Simulators or custom HIL/SIL test environments.
- Design and integrate advanced navigation systems.
- Work with avionics, AI, and controls teams to integrate autonomy modules on flight computers and mission systems.
- Conduct flight trials, performance evaluation, and algorithm optimization under real mission conditions.
- Support development of mission-critical autonomy frameworks for UAV systems.
Skillset/ Experience Required
- Strong foundation in linear and nonlinear state estimation and multi-sensor fusion.
- Expertise in path planning and trajectory optimization for aerial platforms.
- Proficiency in C++ / Python and ROS / ROS2 for robotic system development.
- Experience with aerospace kinematics and dynamics modeling, flight control integration, and navigation system design.
- Hands-on experience with Gazebo / X-Plane / AirSim / Unreal Engine simulators.
- Practical understanding of vision-based SLAM, visual odometry, and obstacle avoidance.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills, with a systems-engineering mindset.
- Exposure to AI-based perception systems.
- Integration of algorithms with embedded flight computers.
- Experience with HIL/SIL test setups and flight telemetry systems.
- Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254, or other lifecycle processes is a plus.
Educational Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech / Ph.D. in Aerospace, Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical, or related disciplines.
- Academic or project focus in Autonomous Systems, Estimation, Navigation, or AI-based Robotics is preferred.
MANDATORY CRITERIA:
- Education: B.Tech / M.Tech in ECE / CSE / IT
- Experience: 10–12 years in hardware board design, system hardware engineering, and full product deployment cycles
- Proven expertise in digital, analog, and power electronic circuit analysis & design
- Strong hands-on experience designing boards with SoCs, FPGAs, CPLDs, and MPSoC architectures
- Deep understanding of signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and high-speed design considerations
- Must have successfully completed at least two hardware product development cycles from high-level design to final deployment
- Ability to independently handle schematic design, design analysis (DC drop, SI), and cross-team design reviews
- Experience in sourcing & procurement of electronic components, PCBs, and mechanical parts for embedded/IoT/industrial hardware
- Strong experience in board bring-up, debugging, issue investigation, and cross-functional triage with firmware/software teams
- Expertise in hardware validation, test planning, test execution, equipment selection, debugging, and report preparation
- Proficiency in Cadence Allegro or Altium EDA tools (mandatory)
- Experience coordinating with layout, mechanical, SI, EMC, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
- Strong understanding of manufacturing services, production pricing models, supply chain, and logistics for electronics/electromechanical components
