Overview

We are looking for Python developers with a strong understanding of object orientation and experience in web and backend development. Experience with Analytical algorithms and mathematical calculations using libraries such as Numpy and Pandas are a must. Experience in some form of Machine Learning. We require candidates who have working experience using Django Framework

Key Skills required (Items in Bold are mandatory keywords) :

1. Proficiency in Python 3.x based web and backend development
2. Solid understanding of Python concepts
3. Experience with some form of Machine Learning (ML)
4. Experience in using libraries such as Numpy and Pandas
5. Some form of experience with NLP and Deep Learning using any of Pytorch, Tensorflow, Keras, Scikit-learn or similar
6. Hands on experience with RDBMS such as Postgres or MySQL
7. Experience building REST APIs using DRF or Flask
8. Comfort with Git repositories, branching and deployment using Git
9. Working experience with Docker
10. Basic working knowledge of ReactJs
11. Experience in deploying Django applications to AWS,Digital Ocean or Heroku

About the team & role :

Railways are the backbone of India. However, the passenger experience is broken across the board.

Starting with food, where the food served in pantries & platforms is not fit for human consumption,

Railofy is on a mission to create the largest & the most trustworthy brand in this space. Since launch

in Jan 2020, Railofy has scaled to become the leading online food brand in each of the stations that it

operates.

We are a VC-funded startup solving one of the biggest transportation problems India faces. Most passengers in India travel long distance by IRCTC trains. At time of booking, approx 1 out of every 2 passengers end up with a Waitlisted or RAC ticket. This creates a lot of anxiety for passengers, as Railway only announces only 4 hour before departure if they have a confirmed seat. We solve this problem through our Waitlist & RAC Protection. Protection can be bought against each IRCTC ticket

at time of booking. If train ticket is not confirmed, we fly the passenger to the destination. Our team consists of 3 Founders from IIT, IIM and ISB.

Functional Experience :

 Computer Science or IT Engineering background with solid understanding of basics of Data Structures and Algorithms

 2 years of relevant experience with Python coding

 1+ years of OOP’s Structural coding experience.

 Expertise in Python packages like pandas, numPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, Flask, streamlit

 Able to Implement security and data protection solutions

 Accommodating various data storage solutions

Soft Skills:

 Communication skills – effective and amicable communication between groups, developers,

testers, designers, and users

 Analytical skills – Good understanding of algorithms and logic that goes behind coding the

application

Job Brief

Primary Responsibilities:

• Obtaining in-depth understanding of design and implementation of existing software product
• Performing all phases of software engineering including requirements analysis, design, estimation, and development & testing
• Applying innovation and creativity in design and implementation of features
• Designing reusable components, frameworks and libraries
• Troubleshooting production support issues post-deployment and come up with solutions as required
• Follow the processes defined by the project manager and the organization

General Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in full-stack development in python based technologies.

Technical Requirements
