SAP CAP / Sr. Node.js Developer

This is an opportunity for a hardcore developer who has good experience in working with SAP’s Business Technology Platform, including usage of SAP’s CAP (Cloud Application Programming) model and Node.js.

The SAP CAP / Node.js Developer Role

You will be responsible for developing CAP / Node.js oriented enhancements for our products, either as part of SPOSEA product development or customer projects.

As part of our Agile development approach, you will report to your respective Scrum Master and make use of the Agile process management tool Azure DevOps.

From SPOSEA’s product development perspective, you will have the opportunity to influence the technical architecture of our products.

Key Responsibilities

• Get and maintain a good understanding of our products.
• Keep content in the online Agile process management tool Azure DevOps up to date to increase transparency and efficiency of the team’s work.
• Contribute to stand-up meetings.
• Create estimates based on provided requirements.
• Implement requirements using CAP and Node.js.
• Write technical documentation for implemented requirements.
• Assist during User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Go-Live.
• Help colleagues where needed and contribute to continuous knowledge building and sharing.

Your Profile

We are seeking someone with full software development lifecycle experience on SAP Business Technology Platform, making use of CAP and Node.js.

Requirements

• Minimum 8+ years of hands-on development experience with CAP and Node.js.
• Proven skills in building scalable web applications / cloud services using modern web technologies (jQuery, Server-Side JS, REST, OData).
• Clear understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (Cloud Foundry) and available platform services.
• Solid knowledge of microservices architecture and service mesh, with the ability to design and develop microservices-based applications.
• Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience with Java, Python, or SQL usage in applications (especially with SAP HANA) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SAP systems functionality, SAP Fiori UX principles, or GraphQL is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial and problem-solving mindset.
• DevOps mindset with a strong sense of ownership through the deployment lifecycle and Agile product development.
• Experience working with AI tools for accelerated development.

Education Level

You preferably have a degree (Bachelor’s / Master’s / Diploma) in Business, IT, or Engineering.

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Integration Engineer to own and expand OpenIAM’s SAP integration layer.

This role is not just about building connectors — it is about enabling enterprise-grade identity automation and governance across SAP landscapes.

You will work across both:

• Existing production integrations (stability, performance, enhancements)
• New SAP module integrations (expanding platform capability)

Key Responsibilities

Integration Development & Maintenance

• Maintain and enhance existing integrations with:
• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP UME (User Management Engine)
• SAP NetWeaver / Fiori
• SAP SuccessFactors (.NET-based integration)
• Develop new integrations with additional SAP modules, including:
• SAP GRC (Access Control) – enabling SoD enforcement
• DBM (Dealer Business Management)
• MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
• EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)
• TM (Transportation Management)

SAP Integration Architecture

• Design and implement integrations using:
• OData APIs
• RFC/BAPI
• IDocs
• SOAP/REST services
• Ensure integrations are:
• Scalable
• Secure
• Aligned with IAM/IGA workflows

GRC / SoD Integration

• Integrate with SAP GRC Access Control to:
• Execute SoD checks during provisioning
• Support risk analysis workflows
• Align identity governance with SAP compliance controls

Environment & SAP Landscape Navigation

• Work within SAP environments (DEV, QA, PROD) to:
• Identify services and endpoints
• Obtain required access
• Troubleshoot integration issues
• Collaborate with SAP Basis and functional teams as needed

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with:
• IAM/IGA engineers
• SAP functional teams
• Customer IT teams
• Translate business and compliance requirements into technical solutions

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Skills

• 5+ years of experience with SAP integrations
• Strong proficiency in:
• Java (primary)
• .NET (secondary, especially for SuccessFactors)
• Hands-on experience with:
• OData, RFC, BAPI, IDoc
• REST/SOAP services
• Experience integrating with SAP S/4HANA

SAP Ecosystem Knowledge

• Experience with:
• SAP UME
• NetWeaver / Fiori
• SuccessFactors
• Strong exposure to:
• SAP GRC Access Control (critical)
• Familiarity with (nice to have but valuable):
• EWM, TM, MES, DBM

IAM / Governance Context

• Understanding of:

Job Description:

- Experience as a Web Methods Developer with both MFT and JDBC adapter 

experience​

- Experience in Web Methods Integration 9.x, 10.x/above.​

- AS2 transmission with partners.​

- Working experience in webMethods designer, Integration Server, Web Services 

(REST, SOAP), pub-sub model, JMS, SAP adapter, SFDC adapter, AS400 adapter, 

Web Methods Test Suit and MQ Adapters.​

- Hands on building BPM and TN integrations. Must have built process models in 

deployed them till production.​

- Hands on CAF. Must have built custom pages on CAF and deployed then till 

production.​

- Knowledge on Scrum methodology.​

- Basic Fundamental understanding, logical reasoning, problem solving approach.​

- Excellent communication.​

- Good Problem Solving approach
