Frontend Developer

Key Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience with ReactJS
• Will be an added advantage to have experience with Ruby AND even better to have experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CoffeeScript, React, Node JS, EmberJS and jQuery
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools e.g. Git, Mercurial or SVN
• Have a background in functional composition of web pages using HTML / CSS, and turning a wireframe design into a well-formatted, user-friendly responsive web page
• Follow best practices like continuous integration, Agile methodology, refactoring and code standards,
• Good knowledge of schema less databases such as Elasticsearch, Redis as well as Relational Databases such as PostgreSQL
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Excellent problem solving skills and bringing in new, innovative ideas to the table to make the platform more productive

• Take highly complex information and make it digestible for business users

Eligibility

• Experience in Angular/React, proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Expert knowledge of responsive web design
• Knowledge of Git, GitHub, GitLab, and/or Bitbucket
• Knowledge of programming patterns, design patterns, and principles
• Have a great sense of design and basic knowledge about interaction design concepts

Responsibilities:

-Developing new user-facing features using ReactJS, JS, Redux etc

-Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use

-Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code

-Product enhancements in existing insurance products

-Optimising components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.

Skills:

-Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model

-Thorough understanding of ReactJS and its core principles like states, hooks, HoC etc

-Experience with popular ReactJS workflows (such as Redux or Flux)

-Good with RESTful APIs

-Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token

-Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools

-Experience with common front-end development tools such as Webpack, NPM, etc.

-Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git

-Experience in NodeJS or any other JS framework is plus but not mandatory

About the Role: 

Yellow Riddle is looking for an experienced Front-end Shopify Developer to join our growing team with our increasing volume of Shopify work. Work would be spread across theme customisations, development and more complex migration projects from other CMS platforms to Shopify. One could also expect to be involved in maintenance and iterative site improvements. The key objective of the role is to be able to work on complex project requirements and be able to work across multiple projects.

You'll be a great fit!... if:

• You have strong knowledge in templating languages, and additionally Shopify Templates(Liquid), debugging and front-end skills.
• You know how to set up custom layout/content editors for our clients in Shopify.
• You have hands-on experience with Shopify, including at least two or more large-scale projects.
• You write clean theme code and can add and debug JS.
• You excel working in a remote environment, meaning you’re autonomous, self-driven, responsive, transparent, and self-organised.

Critical Requirements (Must-Haves):

• Minimum 3 years of work experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills & problem solving mindset
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS.
• Knowledge of JavaScript and jQuery
• Ability to develop responsive designs from PSDs, Invision or Adobe XD
• Shopify knowledge & ability to work on theme-kit

Preferred Requirements (Nice to Haves):

• Experience of working on Shopify Plus projects
