Role Overview
We are seeking a Finance and Operations Associate to independently manage finance and accounting operations for our US business, while also supporting HR, Marketing, and general business activities. This cross-functional role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to take ownership across multiple functions.
Key Responsibilities
Finance and Accounting (50%)
- Independently manage all accounting and finance operations.
- Handle bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and file US-focused tax returns, GST, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely reporting.
- Provide financial insights to management for decision-making.
Marketing Support (20%)
- Assist with lead segregation and basic research.
- Support in marketing campaigns with data collection and reporting.
- Maintain organized marketing databases.
HR Support (20%)
- Post job openings across platforms.
- Manage candidate communications (emails, scheduling, follow-ups).
- Assist in preparing job descriptions for publishing.
General Business Support (10%)
- Provide administrative and operational support as needed.
- Other office/business support tasks as required tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day business operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Commerce (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, compliance, taxation, and GST.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar) and MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership.

- Follow and help define the team's design verification methodology.

- Plans and implements block and integration level scoreboards and checkers to verify functional behavior.
- Experience constructing chip-level System Verilog and UVM test bench environments, writing System Verilog Assertions (SVAs), with embedded software design and test.

B. Aims & Goals:
You are required to work with all departments at Pelican to implement, enhance and improve ISMS, GDPR and ISAE 3402 processes. You will also be closely working with external auditor as well as top management for status and reporting.
C. Key Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities include: Assist in audit planning, including the identification of processes for audit review. Execute internal audit assignments for all locations in India, US, UK and NL. Review the effectiveness of the controls. Identify and document audit issues and opportunities for improvement. Prepare the audit report for internal audit assignments and discuss audit findings with senior management. Monitor and maintain the CAPA program. Assist with follow up corrective actions and oversee timely completion. Facilitate independent audit engagements on behalf of the company. Assist to develop and implement process improvements and best practices across the business unit. Review policies and procedures for all areas of the business.
