Job Description for Business Manager
- Meet with prospective wedding couples for planning and site inspections.
- Determine and confirm availability of event space.
- Create proposals based on needs, interests and expectations of the client.
- Close sales and all aspects of sales management.
- Work closely with Sales Coordinators to update the destination forecasting templates and reports as needed.
- Participate in weekly Team Meetings, addressing issues and concerns relative to the wedding segment.
- Follow standard billing procedures to ensure entire amount of sale is received by collecting payment in advance for the entire amount and collecting payment for any charge incurred on the day of the event by the end of the event, in conjunction with established billing policies and procedures.
- Be on-site to execute assigned weddings.
- Handling of payments for clients.
- Review sales receipt to ensure accuracy of all departmental back-ups.
- Prepare all necessary purchase orders.
- Act as a Customer Service representative to solve guest issues before and during events.
- Investigate client issues that may result before, during or after their event(s). Work closely with the Sales team to provide the appropriate resolution to those issues.
- Work closely to coordinate and implement wedding product and pricing updates on an annual basis.
