Java Backend Developer with Production Support (L2)

We are looking for a Staff Engineer - Python to join one of our engineering teams at our office in Hyderabad.

What would you do?

• Own end-to-end delivery of backend projects from requirements and LLDs to production.
• Lead technical design and execution, ensuring scalability, reliability, and code quality.
• Build and integrate chatbot and AI-driven workflows with third-party systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex performance and production issues.
• Drive testing, documentation, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers and act as the primary technical point of contact for the project/client.

Who Should Apply?

• 5+ years of hands-on experience building backend systems in Python.
• Proficiency in building web-based applications using Django or similar frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of the Python stack and API-first system design.
• Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL/MySQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, or key-value stores.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Lead Java Developer – Backend with a strong foundation in software engineering and hands-on experience in designing and building scalable, high-performance backend systems. You’ll be working within our Digital Engineering Studios on impactful and transformative projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor backend development teams.
• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Ensure high standards of code quality through best practices such as SOLID principles and clean code.
• Participate in pair programming, code reviews, and continuous integration processes.
• Drive Agile, Lean, and Continuous Delivery practices like TDD, BDD, and CI/CD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients for successful delivery.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 9–12+ years of experience in backend development (Up to 17 years may be considered).
• Strong programming skills in Java and backend frameworks such as Spring Boot.
• Experience in designing and building large-scale, custom-built, scalable applications.
• Sound understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and SOLID principles.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, TDD/BDD, CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Good understanding of cloud technologies – especially AWS, and exposure to GCP or Azure.
• Experience working in a product engineering environment is a plus.
• Startup experience or working in fast-paced, high-impact teams is highly desirable.

Azure DE

Primary Responsibilities -

• Create and maintain data storage solutions including Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines for data ingestion, processing, and transformation in Azure Create data models for analytics purposes
• Utilizing Azure Data Factory or comparable technologies, create and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) operations
• Use Azure Data Factory and Databricks to assemble large, complex data sets
• Implementing data validation and cleansing procedures will ensure the quality, integrity, and dependability of the data.
• Ensure data security and compliance
• Collaborate with data engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and reliable data platform architectures

The DEs should be well versed in coding, spark core and data ingestion using Azure. Moreover, they need to be decent in terms of communication skills. They should also have core Azure DE skills and coding skills (pyspark, python and SQL).

Out of the 7 open demands, 5 of The Azure Data Engineers should have minimum 5 years of relevant Data Engineering experience.

• Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET
• Prepare and maintain code for various .Net applications and resolve any defects in systems.
• Prepare test-based applications for various .Net applications
• Enhance existing systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement

• Manage defect tracking system and resolve all issues and prepare update for systems

• Required experience in .Net Core 2.2 and above, Web API, EF, AWS or Azure Cloud

• Knowledge of at least one of the .NET languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic .NET) and HTML5/CSS3
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)

• Update to .net 50 and Microsoft CORE 30 general coding practices
