Brief Description:

NonStop io is seeking a proficient Java Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Java-based applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring the delivery of robust and scalable software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for Java-based applications
• Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards
• Troubleshooting: Debug and resolve application issues in a timely manner
• Testing: Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability
• Optimize: Identify and address performance bottlenecks to enhance application performance

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), and Hibernate/JPA
• Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and complex system design
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services
• Proficiency in working with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle
• Understanding of version control systems, especially Git
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and methodologies
• Understanding of AWS environments and cloud-based application deployment
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Around 4+ years of experience in Java backend development. Candidates with 3+ years of relevant experience may also be considered.
• Strong problem-solving and coding skills in Java are mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of the Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, RS services, and Spring Batch.
• Experience with microservices architecture is preferred. Candidates with basic microservices exposure may also be considered.
• Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases. Strong knowledge of at least one database system, such as BigQuery or Oracle, is mandatory.
• Exposure to Kafka, Docker and Kubernetes will be an added advantage.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor will be an added advantage.
• Candidates should have strong programming fundamentals to validate and review AI-generated outputs.
