Java Developer

Requirement

• Developer Background: The ideal candidate should come from a developer background with knowledge of Java and other programming languages.
• Database Management: They must have hands-on experience with database management.
• Experience Level: We are looking for a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• On-Call Experience: They must have proven on-call experience, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage stress effectively. We also value collaboration, proactivity, and a curious mindset.

L2 Support Engineers are responsible for:

1. Production Issue Debugging

○ Analyzing logs and monitoring application behavior to identify root

causes of production issues.

○ Providing temporary resolutions using database-level fixes or

configuration changes.

1. Handling Escalations from L1 Support

○ Addressing tickets and issues escalated from L1 by providing immediate

workarounds.

○ Ensuring minimal downtime and impact on business operations.

1. Forwarding Issues to L3/Development Team

○ When a permanent code-level fix is required, the issue is escalated to the

L3 (Development) team.

○ Prior to escalation, L2 should provide a detailed analysis and temporary

resolution (e.g., database fix) to minimize user impact.

1. Root Cause Analysis and Documentation

○ Conducting detailed root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents.

○ Updating the Confluence Playbook with clear, actionable steps for L1

teams to facilitate future self-resolution.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

- A professional degree in Computer Science from a reputable institution, backed by a consistent academic record.

- A knack for problem-solving, data structures, and algorithms.

- Proficiency in ElasticSearch.

- 6+ years of hands-on development experience, primarily in building products for large enterprises.

- Exceptional communication skills.

- Mastery in Java programming; familiarity with Python is a plus.- Experience with Spring Boot.

- Practical knowledge of one or more cloud-based technologies (e.g., ElasticSearch, Storm, Hazelcast, MongoDB, Ceph, Kafka) is highly desirable.

- Expertise in building concurrent and/or parallelized, highly performant scalable applications.

- A track record of identifying and addressing complex issues in scalable deployments.

- Exposure to Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) is an added advantage.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Dive deep into technical aspects (Analysis, Design & Implementation) as required.

- Take complete ownership of features within the product.

- Engage in debates and detailed discussions about functional and non-functional requirements with our Product Management team.

- Collaborate with the team to design solutions, seeking stakeholder input before implementation.

- Create essential artifacts such as functional specifications and detailed designs for your assigned features.

- Implement intricate features with an unwavering commitment to quality, following the Test- Driven Development (TDD) process.

- Maintain open lines of communication, promptly reporting risks and progress to your supervising manager.

- Share your expertise and mentor team members.

- Provide support by troubleshooting and creating Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues, subsequently working on short-term and long-term solutions.

Professional Requirements:

• 2-8 Years professional development experience.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in CS, or equivalent experience.
• Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Good understanding of high level and low-level design of distributed systems.
• Experience coding in any one of the following Java or Nodejs.
• Experience building highly available distributed systems on cloud infrastructure will be plus.
• Exposure to architectural pattern of a large, high-scale web application.

Requirement/responsibilities: To take a project from scoping requirements through launch of the project. Ownership of product/feature end-to-end for all phases from the development to the production. Ensuring the developed features are scalable and highly available with no quality concerns. Work closely with senior engineers for refining the and implementation. Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments. Participate in design and code reviews.

Responsibilities

Understand systems enabling third party integration 

Translate business requirements to the APIs and SDKs exposed by these systems. Figure out the optimum interfaces to interact with these. 

Build generic connectors to interact with these technologies. 

Design, implement, deploy and maintain the connectors. 

Minimum Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields. 

Experience needs to be around 8+ years 

Strong problem-solving skills. 

Ability to understand the technology and its APIs in quick time. 

Strong design pattern fundamentals. 

Good core java skills like Multi-threading, collection framework. 

Good communication and mentorship skills 

Ability to put together architecture diagrams and designs 

Job Description

·       Strong Core Java / C++ experience with Strong Handson Coding

·       Excellent understanding of Logical ,Object-oriented design patterns, algorithms and data structures.

·       Sound knowledge of application access methods including authentication mechanisms, API quota limits, as well as different endpoint REST, Java etc

·       Strong exp in databases - not just a SQL Programmer but with knowledge of DB internals

·       Sound knowledge of Cloud database available as service is plus (RDS, CloudSQL, Google BigQuery, Snowflake )

·       Experience working in any cloud environment and microservices based architecture utilizing GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, CircleCI, Azure or similar technologies

You may be working on architecting the money disbursement flow or creating most- friendly interface for consumer payment. All our engineers identify as generalist and building products that are useful and delightful are core to our engineering culture.

You're more than a coder. You wil be part of entire product process, from conceptualizing till post- launch evaluation. You should have deep empathy for the users to minimize the gap between what we build and what they need. Have sound judgement to balance between code writing speed and it's maintainability. Knowledge of variety of server- side/ frontend frameworks is desirable but not compulsory
