Requirements

• 3+ years and above exposure in the art of writing codes and solving problems for large scale
• Extensive and expert programming experience in any one programming language (strong OOPS skills preferred). Deep experience in a java programming language
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Have a penchant for solving complex and interesting problems.
• BE/BTech, MTech in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent).
• Excellent coding skills – should be able to convert the design into code fluently Good skills to write unit & integration tests with reasonable coverage of code & interfaces - TDD is a plus
• Experience in building highly scalable business applications, which involve implementing large complex business flows and dealing with the huge amount of data. Experience with

multi-threading and concurrency programming

• Ability to switch between the technologies and learn new skills on the go.

As the Sr. Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing cutting edge health-tech applications that include high scale transaction processing, intelligent bot-based programs, and data analytics

Strong in Java8 with Microservices + Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA Exposure to MySQL

Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Java development

• Experience delivering Services (REST, SOAP) and Web applications in Micro services architecture

What you will be doing 

 

• Configure, test and implement workflows supporting configuration and business features in FIS Loan Origination System.
• Coordinate with business experts (Business Analysts, Product Owners, Product Managers) to gather functional specifications and accordingly get them designed and build in product using native workflow tool and by harvesting CMMN and BPMN
• Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
• Build the executable processes with limited requirement to showcase business.
• Work with architects and team leads to design & implement appropriate technical solutions.
• Collaborate with testers to analyze defects, verify behavior, and resolve issues.
• Identify, re-engineer and document business processes and metrics and identify improvement opportunities where existing processes / workflows may be streamlined or improved to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop, maintain and distribute business process workflows documentation to stakeholders.
• Assess and project the impact of system changes on users and internal and external clients or stakeholders.
• Be a SPOC for managing and maintenance of these Processes, Workflows while building and contributing to these within Product in an Agile manner. Attend all the relevant scrum ceremonies.
• Tailors user screens for each process activity to enable end users to interact with Application.
• Work as an independent team member, capable of applying judgment to plan and execute your tasks.
• Isolate and resolve complex configuration issues.
• Train internal employees or external clients on processes, BPMN and CMMN principles or practices. Conduct one-on-one or classroom training depending upon the size or desire of the audience.

About the Department: Information Systems  

The Information Systems Department (‘ISD’) provides a full range of state of the art technology services to all departments within Mizuho International plc in London.  This includes teams servicing the client-facing business units, Operations, Finance and Risk departments.

Primary Responsibilities  

Summary 

Within Regulatory Reporting, Reference Data & Product Control IT team, the developer will work towards enhancing and supporting our newly delivered financial data reference data platform, GoldenSource. This requires involvement in development and post production support project life cycle. This role will expose the individual to all business areas, including front office, settlements, custody and accounting.  
This role will also involve providing 3rd Line support for any implemented solutions including incident, problem, and defect management 

Specific Responsibilities 

Design and development of the instrument reference data module 
Conduct systems testing and support user acceptance testing 
Dealing with day-to-day production problems and maintenance.  This may require working shifts and/or being on-call out of normal working hours.
