Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for overseeing the development of Docsumo React webapp.
• You will be working closely with the founders and lead the frontend development
• Serve as a thought leader and mentor on technical, architectural, design and related issues
• You will be responsible to provide oversight, accountability, and leadership for technical decisions.
• You will be designing and building modules in React within the Docsumo webapp.
• Own and Implement the features using the technology stack that we have in place while bringing in flavours of latest but proven trends and methods
• Contribute to Product and Design ideas and Implement them as your own product. We value everyone’s inputs
• Work with our hiring team to hire amazing engineers who will expand the Docsumo culture and product

Skills:

• At least 6+ years years experience building React webapps
• Excellent command over React, redux, javascripts, HTML5 and CSS
• Provided effective team management and mentoring for over 3+ years to foster professional growth and drive team success
• Demonstrated ability to build 0-1 product from using React.
• Demonstrated ability of managing frontend engineers
• Proven skills in developing a production level end to end UI application on their own
• Familiarity with Version Control tools, deployment, cloud services and CI/CD
• Must be self-motivated, flexible, collaborative, with an eagerness to learn
• Comfortable working in an Agile work environment with an incredibly fast pace and a large degree of independence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build interfaces as per the design provided by the UX / UI team
• Ensure the work output is as per the design inputs provided
• Work closely with the backend team to integrate the pull or push APIs
• Work with the support team to troubleshoot issues faced by customers
• Build programming abstractions for the specific domain

Key Competencies (Functional):

• Proficiency in Javascript / ES5 / ES6 or Typescript
• Proficient in code versioning tools including Mercurial / Git / SVN.
• Familiarity with APIs and WebSockets
• Work with Canvas related frameworks – Cocos2d / PixiJs
• Experience with Cocos Creator is a Bonus.

• Experience in front end development, with knowledge in advanced JavaScript features

• You primarily identify as a Frontend Engineer or a UI Engineer and are comfortable working on the browser side of things with 7+ years experience (preferably from B2C startup companies).
• You can build accessible interfaces with semantic HTML, CSS, and Javascript.  
• You can build reusable, performant, and well-tested web applications that are responsive and work across various devices and platforms.  
• You can build features from scratch which are modular and scalable. You don’t hesitate to take them from design to implementation.
• You have shipped code to production recently and regularly.
• You are experienced in working with using modern web frameworks, like React, Vue, and friends. We use React but prefer people with strong web concepts and fundamentals who are open to learning any framework/library. 
• You are fluent in using the tools of the trade: editors, git, command line, Slack, Jira (unfortunately yes)

• Work with the client and internal web development team to design new products or enhancements.
