"The Role\nElectrical Engineering requires and offers a very high level of collaboration with firmware and mechanical engineers. You’ll be responsible for Hands-on design and development, architecting, lab testing, and troubleshooting power-electronics circuits and systems.\n\n\nResponsibilities\nDesign and development of digital and analog electronics for control of high power electronics systems.\nStart to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics – from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing.\nCollaborative work with mechanical, digital control, thermal design, and manufacturing test engineers.\nProduct level electrical design including component selection, branch circuit design and insulation coordination.\n\n\nRequired Skills\nBS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering (International Universities/IIT preferred).\nShould have a strong background in design and not simply having managed 3rd-party or other’s designs.\n4 or more years of demonstrated successful experience in electrical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment.\nExperience with high current power semiconductor selection (IGBTs, MOSFET’s, and Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design.\nFamiliar with schematic capture and power converter circuit simulation tools.\nExperience in supervision of PCB layout for minimal stray inductance and capacitance, placement strategies for better manufacturability, power/signal plane definition and EMC optimization.\nExperience in selection and use of DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices and their peripheral circuitry (signal conditioning, board-level power supplies).\nExperience in development of digital and analog interfaces for PC-based test systems, especially (Labview, Matlab, Python).\n\n\nPreferred Skills\nMSEE or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in experience and exceptional ability\nPast work with high power Li-Ion batteries is a good to have.\nEmbedded programming of DSPs and FPGAs in real-time control applications is highly valuable.\nDesired knowledge in automotive networking (e.g. CAN,) standards.\nKnowledge of power semiconductors and switched mode power conversion.\nKnowledge in environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for Automotive, Industrial & Residential applications.\nKnowledge of basic control theory and experience with embedded programming."
