Your Hard Skills

As the Lead Software Engineer - Game Tools you’ll be helping to lead the Tools and Core Tech team, you will have a highly motivated team of programmers that are driven by clean code, automation and get a kick out of finding ways to improve efficiency and the lives of others (by writing great tools).

Are You Up To The Challenge?
You will be working with H5 game frameworks where you will creating HTML5 playable adverts and exporting them to major ad platforms. You will learn about the more traditional game development challenges such as platform restrictions, performance and optimization, an art sometimes lost in modern development but certainly should not be forgotten. The games have a very small tight loop, a perfect environment for learning good coding architecture and gameplay programming, something the team focuses heavily on. If you’re not yet familiar with HTML5 engines, and more comfortable with Unity, feel free to still apply as we’re keen to teach new team members.

What You Will Do:
- Examine the Game Design Documents of the games that will be created, talk with the producers and artists about the needs, and plan the development with the team and technical leads.
- Maintain current knowledge of pertinent core technologies and best practices so that you may advise product teams on new game mechanics or APIs that are available.

Skills and requirements
- At least 5 years minimum experience as an Artist in the game industry (Preferably in social casino/casual mobile games)
- Solid understanding of art and design fundamentals
- Good all rounder - ability to create characters, backgrounds, UI in a range of different styles and bring it to life via animation and vfx

Responsibilities Include

Own the entire design of new features existing games or new games and take full responsibility for coordinating with various stakeholders until go live
Generate new and innovative feature ideas, enhancements to the existing products and collate

Main responsibilities:
● Manage the art production of incredibly compelling, high-quality smartphone games.
● Plan and oversee the 2D, 3D, UI, and Technical Art planning using project planning tools like
Google or MS Excel sheet.
● Follow the delivery plan and coordinate with art, art leads, design, product, and engineering
for deliveries.
● Initiate and track all production processes through art stand up meetings, scrum, or similar
approach.
● Ensure timely delivery of art milestones while safeguarding the quality of artwork in
accordance with the pre-defined art production schedule.
● Work with art leads and art directors to evaluate and sign-up new outsourcing art and sound
vendors.
