Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Managed File Transfer (MFT) Engineer with strong expertise in Axway MFT and/or IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG). The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in administering and supporting enterprise file transfer platforms in Linux and Windows environments, along with monitoring and scheduling tools such as Splunk and AutoSys.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and support Axway MFT and/or IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) environments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot managed file transfer processes to ensure secure, reliable, and timely file exchanges.
- Configure trading partners, communication protocols, certificates, and file transfer workflows.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve production incidents within SLA.
- Work with business and application teams to onboard new partners and file transfer requirements.
- Administer Linux and Windows servers supporting MFT infrastructure.
- Configure and monitor logs using Splunk for proactive issue identification and performance monitoring.
- Manage and monitor batch jobs using AutoSys.
- Perform software upgrades, patching, certificate renewals, and system maintenance.
- Implement security best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control.
- Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in on-call support and production maintenance activities.
Required Skills
- 8 years of experience in Managed File Transfer (MFT) administration.
- Strong experience with Axway SecureTransport, Axway MFT, and/or IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG).
- Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows server administration.

Preferred Skills

Job Duties -
- Administer IT storage recovery and backup systems. Perform complex provisioning, advanced maintenance, data replication, disaster recovery, data migration, and documentation.
- Participate in ongoing maintenance, utilization, availability, and security of storage infrastructure.
- Perform IT implementations, performance analysis and optimization, monitoring, problem resolution, upgrade planning and execution, and process creation and documentation.
- Analyze and work to improve the quality of services offered by IT. Participate in ongoing technology evaluations to keep up with technology trends and industry standards.
- Be able to script in Perl or Python and perform capacity planning and growth projections.
