PipeCandy is looking for a special person to be our 'Head of Retail Intelligence'. Why 'special' though? You might not know this - PipeCandy is already tracking about a million e-commerce and retail companies, discovering nuances about them at scale using Machine Learning and NLP techniques. For anyone selling to the e-commerce industry today would find more insights from PipeCandy than anywhere else. But, we are just getting started. To deliver comprehensive value to our customers, we need to think for them - understand what data and insights would help them sell better; track retail and e-commerce news, events, influencers & data aggregators; discover new and unconventional methods of accessing data and deriving insights; package and deliver very highly respected insights in the form of blogs and sales dossiers for our customers. You are passionate about global e-commerce and retail - You have an RSS feed of every news site that talks about retail, e-commerce, fulfillment, logistics topics. You know key account level insights about more than a handful of retailers and e-commerce companies. You know every jargon, every buzzword and every metric that tells something about a retailer or an e-commerce company. You can front-end customer conversations along with the sales team, demonstrate your grasp on the topics discussed and provide insights that are relevant You can get hands-on, research about data sources, discuss partnerships and think laterally to identify unconventional methods of insight extraction You enjoy being an individual contributor who provides context-based leadership & guidance to sales, data & data science teams. We are looking to hire someone with 5-7 years experience (with all or most of it serving retail and e-commerce clients). Responsible for the full project lifecycle management from pitch, design and build to quality assurance, delivery & approval Engage client teams to understand client strategy, goals and needs and requirements through Strategy/Audience definition workshops & interactions Collaborate with design, development, and external marketing / product teams to deliver world class design solutions Communicate client goals to the team and represent the client's interests during design and delivery Support the creative team with interaction ideas and strategies based on customer engagement models & research. Work Closely with the management team to define a solution, create and present the project proposal Project Planning & Tracking Managing a variety of requests from the client and structure them into a executable project plan Manage team [and team member] deliverables and timelines to ensure adherence to the project plan Constant communication with client teams keeping them abreast of complete/upcoming milestones, schedule review sessions and provide project status reports using our project management tool, Basecamp Tracking project deliverables and initiate, change requests, out of scope alerts and mobilize project extensions Hold internal project de-briefing sessions and document project report. Represent PaperPlane at project de-briefing and review meetings with clients
