Automation QA Engineer

This position will play a primary role in planning, implementing, leading, and executing all aspects of Quality and Testing. The role requires hands-on QA expertise, ability to take initiative, develop, and evolve our QA processes. The right candidate will be able to analyze the systems to determine what to test, the priority of those tests and the best way to test.

• Perform impact/test analysis for the new features, feature-enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Conduct test design and test execution for functional/non-functional aspects of features / product.
• Hands-on execution for functional/non-functional aspects of features / product.
• Automate the tests to ensure repeatability of tests.

• 7+ year's experienced software quality professional.
• Experienced developing and executing test cases, scripts, plans and procedures to support various development methodologies.
• Familiarity with entire software development life cycle and test cycles (Unit, Regression, Functional, Systems, Performance and Volume, User Acceptance).
• Knowledge & experience on java or python, selenium, Appium, etc. to perform the automation of websites and apps on desktop/handheld devices.
• Knowledge & experience on tools like JMeter, Gatling, locust to perform non-functional tests.
• Detailed and effective written communication skills for documenting the features tested and bugs found.
• Highly organized, detail oriented, extremely responsive candidate who would like to take up technical challenges.
• Self-motivated, works well independently and with others.

Responsibilities

 

Providing a strong leadership for the Tech QA department to move to greater heights of value and maturity.

Develop functional and performance test plans and cases for internal and external facing software systems

Driving tools and frameworks for functional automation and performance  testing

Participate in required activities and validation gates running up to a General Availability release

Building a strong competence in project management, process management and QA practices

Responsible for the delivery from the project management, improvements in software engineering practices, process adoption and quality aspects of all the releases of products and features.

Ideal Candidate Profile

 

7 to 15 years of product QA experience, with at least 2 years of experience as QEM or EM

7+ years of experience as a SDET/automation engineer

5+ years of experience Testing software for mobile applications/ web applications on devices(Android/IPhone)

Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, or equivalent technical domain

Preferably with product based startup experience

Should have built automation competency using selenium, appium, web services and performance testing

Knowledge and application of concepts such as continuous integration, continuous build, dev ops.

Shows creativity and initiative to improve Test coverage and effectiveness.

Strong competency in project management, process management, Product quality management, people management and delivery management skills and experience

Good understanding and experience in working product development organisations, B2C product line, and mobile products.

We are currently looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our fast-growing QA team. With our Product Engineering team rapidly iterating and deploying new code, our Test Engineers drive the crucial effort of designing automated test suites that are reliable and maintainable. This team is tasked with ensuring the automated testing of Socure’s existing code and developing thorough test approaches for new features and products.

• Work closely with the rest of the Engineering team to deliver high quality products in an agile development environment
• Participate in product design discussions and sprint planning meetings
• Participate in full cycle SDLC: initial design, test implementation, identifying bugs, verifying bug fixes and production release
• Design and write comprehensive test plans and test cases for releases
• Perform manual and automated testing for REST web service APIs / web applications
• Build and enhance automated test suites and test harnesses

Job Description:

• To be responsible for effectively converting US into manual/Automation test cases for WEB and Mobile apps as per the coding standards.
