About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and methodical Manual QA Tester with strong analytical skills and a passion for ensuring high-quality software. You will be responsible for understanding requirements, planning test coverage, identifying defects, and ensuring a seamless user experience across web and API interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases based on functional requirements and specifications
• Perform manual testing of web-based applications, APIs, and mobile apps (if applicable)
• Identify, record, and track bugs using JIRA or similar tools
• Work closely with developers and product teams to understand features and resolve issues
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of test results, reports, and testing processes
• Validate bug fixes, regression cases, and perform smoke testing
• Perform cross-browser and device compatibility testing
• Analyze and debug issues using logs, browser developer tools, and relevant tools

Mandatory Tools & Skills

• Postman – for API testing
• Chrome Developer Tools – for UI inspection, console & network analysis
• JIRA – for defect tracking and test management
• Log Analysis – basic familiarity with reading and debugging logs
• Strong command of test case writing, reporting, and scenario-based testing

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Confluence
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology
• Understanding of database queries (basic SQL)
• Experience testing responsive designs and mobile UIs

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Performing Manual Functionality Testing
2. Preparing Documentation like Test Plan, User manual etc.
3. Co-ordination with Business team for requirement understanding
4. Providing operational support as needed

Skills & Qualification:

1. BE or MCA
2. 2+ years of relevant work experience
3. Experience in Manual Testing of App, Web and APIs
4. Basic Knowledge of SQL
5. Knowledge of JavaScript and Automation Tool like Selinium, Jmeter etc. is preferred

• Reviews design specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and function of the software product.
• Preparation of test data and execution of test cases (including functional, system, regression, performance, API and database layer etc.)
• Identifies appropriate processes, parameters, functions, and data to test and validate; parameters may include general function, the validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Lead and participate in test case reviews with Business, Developers, other team members
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Ensure that user expectations are met during the testing process
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• When a product does not perform within specifications, reporting defects to programmers while identifying and recommending solutions, improvements, and updates.
• Identifies, logs, and recreates error codes, bugs, and defects.
• Draft quality assurance policies and procedures
• Investigate production issues
• Conducts testing to ensure products perform according to product requirements and within established guidelines.

Skills:

* Should have excellent manual testing skills.
* Good knowledge in automation testing using Selenium WebDriver.
* Should have good written & communications skills to write the test cases and documentation.
* Good Analytical skill, Proactive, Capability of thinking through a scenario.
* Knowledge in mobile automation testing using Appium is a plus point.

Responsibilities:

• Creation of automated test scripts to reduce the amount of time and effort spent on testing.
• Strongly adhere to specification and style guides.
• Ensure the application meets the performance, quality and targets.
• Leverage new and established testing methodologies.
• Translate the given design document into proper Test Cases for maintainability.
• Work hand-in-hand with developers to understand the flow of modules and document it.

• Execution of test cases/test scripts for manual/automation testing.
• Should have working knowledge of SQL server.
• Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
• Analyze data and results of tests, record defects, provide status.
• Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using JIRA or similar tools/means.
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
• Build Deployment on Test Environment.

Requirements:

• Experience in end-to-end user testing for minimum 1-2 yrs.
• Have prior experience with manual testing in web and Android applications.
• Logging bugs, detailed test reports, screenshots, and videos in the bug tracker during pre-release and post-release testing.
• User & usability testing on the design prototypes being passed to the development team.
• Well versed with Agile testing methodologies.
• Opportunity to define, design, tool and implement entire Automated testing using Selenium/TestNG/Appium or any other tool of choice.
• Ability to stick to deadlines.
• Manage regular exploratory testing campaigns by employing a large number of short-term remote testers.
• Ability to operate in white-spaces where ambiguity or lack of knowledge might be imminent in tackling problems. In short, love the entire startup experience.
• Good Knowledge of Core Java.
• Good Knowledge in Selenium.
• Troubleshoot problems related to scripts, framework components,application changes, etc., and repair issues.
• Experience in working with Agile Projects and Scrum Process.
• Enable and/or perform development of test automation by designing and writing automated test scripts based on defined test cases,including the definition of test data for consumption by scripts during test execution.
• Must have experience in writing TDD and BDD test cases.
• Analyze test logs, and report test results/metrics.
